DAY 24
MANDURAH
RACE 1 Maiden
#1 TINY TRIBESMAN Gets best chance to date to break maiden status as this is a weak field. Has the benefit of the inside draw, but is the likely leader. And when your racing cats. Being the leader is a huge plus. Should lead from the rails and be too strong for these. Only query. Returning from injury is the only concern.
Overall: Should win by 4l.
#2 PATCHY 19 starts for 0 wins. Says it all really. Can't back that sort of animal. Last 3 starts has been beaten by over 10l. But this time around, is another good opportunity to place. As with the BOX 1 leading this race, should get onto the rails easily for the bend. Did show some form in June and has been searching for luck.
Overall: Definately place chance.
#3 KALAMBI TIGER Hard to really give this runner much chance of winning. But at placing. Hmmmm. Has the benefit of box 3, runs inside a slow starter and is boxed outside of the leader and in-consistent #2. The speed map gives this runner every opportunity and has OK form at Cannington for this class. I think will be in for a good show.
Overall: Exotic runner.
#4 HOBNOB Going to give this runner the flick. Does get too far back in the running and over this distance won't stand much chance.
Overall: Gets too far back.
#5 MABLEX 23.70 qualy winner here. But in a full field has struggled to date. Nothing wrong with the breeding, might be a bunny chaser. So I wouldn't pay too much attention to the time. But I will wait until does something before punting on.
Overall: Willing to risk.
#6 TEAR 'EM UP Another with only qualy form which isn't a good sign to me personally when going through the form. Always like a runner who shows good form in racing. Unless of course they have a clear box. Which box 6 isn't.
Overall: Not for me.
#7 PULLING STRINGS 24 starts for 11 placings. Another slow beginner who will be searching for luck here. I can see a lot of trouble for boxes 4,5,6 as they all seem to have similar pace at the start of the race. That doesn't help. BUT has been beaten by some OK times for maiden races.
Overall: Likely to be in the market for place.
#8 GONE HYPER As the race-book says 4 starts for 2 placings boxes 5-8. Lacks early pace again. With this sort of class and speed map I think GONE HYPER is going to be the one that will go alright.
Overall: Has clear run which suits this class of racing.
