Turanza Bale was just going to demolish that field last night at Sandown. I guess the Thursday punters wanted something to bet against and Turanza Bale was it. Was a genuine $1.50 chance that race.

Had to watch the race on sky when at a triva night.

Quite a lot of greyhounds get lost at Geelong as the bend is quite sharp. Fence fell down in the storms the other week too. Didn't see the damage though, so hope all is well down there.

Track experience at Geelong is something that I consider important.

Tomorrow night is a real form study night.

Can go into a lot of video detail courtesy of the watchdog and delve into your stats to find a winner. But if it is wet. Throw that line of form study out the window and target leaders. As it is hard to come from behind in the wet conditions.

Cugatango was a perfect example of that. Began like a bullet and in the wet just kept going.

Ignore slow starters. But target those who have been strong over longer distances. Or led and faded in the final few stages of 600m+ races.

Im off to the Island to watch some V8 Supercars go round and round. Bit disappointed about the support categories.


Work in the greyhounds starts up soon, so I'll be able to have some nice news on the happenings that may help the punting side.

Mainly targetting around early speed and class once again. Ignoring the average first split chart as it doesn't give a true indication of current form. Need to compare average first splits for meeting/class/day/box/greyhound to get better indication of recent form. Plus video's so you can rule out any interferance as sometimes the stewards miss it.

Pools are small on unitab, so if you have a sportingbet account, try and take advantage of the skewed pools. Meaning. You can get HUGE overs on exotics and win/place dividends for your runners. So keep a close eye on the other totes to see what dividends you can try and steal.

Even though sportingbet will only match up to 25-1. You can still take advantage as a few months ago a greyhound on Unitab paid $52 the place. Small pool. Crazy dividends. Take advantage on sportingbet. Then just smile.

With the exotics. If you think you have got a GOOD idea on the result. I suggest you place a $20 Quinella on ONE combination on unitab. Then BACK your proper combination on sportingbet. Because if the QUIN pool is $0-$100 (sometimes the case) then your $20 bet is 20% of the pool.... blowing out the other combinations.

And since sportingbet match unitab. Then your laughing........ IF......... you get it right of course. Sometimes its a double whammy. As they say on Anchorman.... WHAMMY!!
