I have found sblack that when your punting. Write down the selection on a piece of paper.

#2- clean start could see this one get too far ahead, great value

Think of the market this way. If the race was run 10 times, you give 8 a chance of winning at least ONE of these occassions.
But you were right in the sense that #1,2 were CLEAR picks in this race.
Might have to work on how much chance you give the outsiders who have NO HOPE of winning.

But you have to think... can they REALLY lead. And even if they do. Can they REALLY go on and win?
You might find that the less chance you give NO HOPERS the more accurate your market becomes.
how do u work out the odds of a quinella? for example i had $50 on 1-6 quinella, it got up paying 3.30, the odds for the 2 dogs were 6 (3.70 win) 1 (1.50 place).... thought it woulda been higher considering the winner payed 3.70
