Great win by El Galo in the Brisbane Cup. Out of 5, he pinged beautifully and was never challenged. Great run by the second placed dog, Trew Millions who never gave up and cut the margin a heap in the last 50m.

I thought exactly the same. I couldnt believe when $2.40 came up. I took the $2 and thought that was a great price. Was convinced he would be about $1.60. I think the fact that they talked up made to size so much in the hours leading up helped with the price.

Wangarrata Race 5 #8 BINDAY RUSH - 1,2,4,6

This is a tricky race here, the 1 should get a clear run as MISS LEMON #2 likes to trek wide early. STEEL ROD is from the Dalton camp who are not in the greatest of form lately and is drawn in a difficult box 5 as the 6 GREY CHERRY could come across hard as loves racing at this track.

You could box 4,5,6 for a quinella as an outside chance assume that the 2 ruins her race early while the possible favourite #8 fails to cross the field at the bend and has a bumping dual with the 1 who tries to come through the field.

Casino Race 9 #8 LIVERPOOL KISS - 1,3,5

Tricky race this. The 8 has every opportunity to breakthrough from maiden status while the inside runners have more experience and have been running steady times of late. The box draw should suit the 8, but could be odds on here.

Id be willing to box all four runners this race for exotics.

If 8 starts over $2.50, then definately get on.

1 is a good EW bet. If betting F4s and want to go wide, include the 2,4 for 3rd-4th position.

I'll be dabbling a few boxed exotics and standouts with the 8.

#3 OLD ZAMBEZI has raced in 3 different states in her short career for little success. But last start was a strong placing over this trip and could surprise.

#4 HOODED FEVER has only won 1 race from 19 starts. Does not race too often with only 19 starts since last year June.

#5 CLINTON'S RUSH is a slow beginner who will need luck

#6 HONDO GRAND ran a slow first split over this trip last start, but motored home in a 17.28 placing.

#7 KEYBOARD LAD won over this trip in 17.57 with slow first split. May place.

#8 HEAD BARISTA can run. Has won a Cranbourne qualy in 18.00 over the 311m. ALso won at Sale 440m in 25.05 which is strong for this class. Drawn outwide which is a query, but will be a definate danger.
