#1 NIFTY KEEPING was a strong placegetter at Horsham last start when running 27.38. But hasn't been proven over 500m and if starts too short will be laying as with the conditions at the Meadows tonight. I'd lay at $3.00.

Still quinella top 2 and top 4.

And yes it is strange to lay your top selection. But you have to realise, that if the UNDERS offer themselves up. Then long term you should be doing well for yourself.

#3 PUNK PLATINUM can muster early speed to lead this field and from there will take plenty of catching as ran 30.40 on debut over this trip. In the strong Auld camp. If you can get $3-$3.50 then you are shopping well here.

#1 RELLIM ROSEY is going to be exceptionally hard to hold out as is quite the speedy type. Is yet to win over 500m, but with the times she has been running at Ballarat should be no problem. #5 was the Launceston Cup runner up. Should be a top contendor.

How they offered punters $2.50-$2.90 on betfair for RELLIM ROSEY in a 6 dog race with the inside draw when 3 of the first 4 races had been won by inside draws is BEYOND me.

#1 ROMAN BALE is going to be hard to beat here from the inside draw.

Have only thrown in #8 for some value as tends to race well outwide and you don't know how the pace in the middle is going to end up as there could be plenty of trouble. Leaving #8 to run right into contention.

Tend to find plenty of value in quinella's during the NZ races in the morning.

Race 1 #5-3-6-8 X

Schofield is a prolific trainer in NZ and while his #5 ZACHARY SAME hasn't exactly performed that well to date he gets a chance today with a vacant box on his inside. Should go well over the shorts.

Race 2 #3-8-1-5

Going to be a shorty here from box 3. Should prove too speedy for these. Have included the debutants #1,5 in this race. Will be interesting to see what the market does for them.

Race 3 #8-6-5-4

#8 LOONEY LEE should make it a double here for Schofield as the times he has been running are at least 3-4 lengths better than anyone else in this race. Should get a nice run early and just charge home on the long straight. #4 BIGTIME SADDAM, you are going to get some nice odds here. If you fancy place betting or having an all-up with some big place prices, then include the 4 here. Always thereabouts.

Race 4 #8-1-2-6

#8 SARAH'S POWER is an ex-NSW chaser who almost broke 31sec at Richmond last time out. So if can run to that same pace this time around, should be right in the mix. First race start at the track is always a querry, but is in good camp.
#1 may be hard to beat from this draw as has plenty of pace.

Race 5 #1-2-6-8

#1 CALYPSO RUMBLE is running good times, and the inside draw is going to be an advantage as will be at the front for a long way.


Race 6 #5-1-3-7 X

This short priced favourite #5 ADDIS JAY is absolutely flying and it will take a lot of trouble to prevent a win.

Once again at NZ, a lot of short priced favourites are due to salute, with the occassional blowout.

Nowra Race 3 #1 FAST NICK - fastest heat winner in 20.75 (nice time!) and has the red box. Should just power away from them.

But as we know with many youngsters, they can be inconsistent. And over the shorts, all it takes is a slow start and the race is shot to pieces.

Looks to be between the middle draws here. Hard to leave the 5 out, but went wide with the 8 who may get a nice clear run and despite being an inconsistent chaser of late should be right in the mix trouble free. Well here's hoping.

Mainly base Addington selections on times, so that is why the 2,3 are on top as both have run solid times over this trip recently. Should be a good quinella there.

#4 DYLAN'S GIRL is the best of a bad bunch as between these 6 there are 54 races for only 3 placings. Pretty poor maiden race here.

Quinella with #7 RICKY SATIN who should be running on ok after a sub 31 run at Launceston last time out.

Crazy people having that #4 odds on.
Quinella lost. Outsider won.

#4 AMBER'S ACE was heavily checked on debut when well backed at Galwer. Showed good early speed and could well lead here. Will get her chance to prove herself today. #7 is in a kennel that has been going well with youngsters recently. #8 shows early speed but tends to get caught up in a fair bit of trouble. Thrown in for some value if gets a clear run.

Not going to have the sole debutant in a good kennel on top. As you never quite know what they can do so early. Especially from this box. The 1,7,8 have drawn well and have ran ok times when well backed recently. Should be right in the mix. But watch this debutant.

Will be an interesting betting race between the 6 runners as many have been well backed at previous starts. There is a sole debutant from Con Haagman's kennel, thats where the winner from Race 2 came.

Like #2 BITTA CASH here because of last run at Port Pirie as should boast the early speed to lead here.

Favourite should be too good here. The 1 is drawn well and did win in a good time last start, but that was in a low grade, faces a better field this time around so it won't be that easy. Should be an easy race for exotics, as the other runners arn't much chop.

Going for the debutant here as most from litter seem to be running well.
Have to have #2 TOLECK as is from Modra camp and will improve on debut run when found trouble.

Don't mind the inside draw for a bit of value here as has been running times that are good enough to win here and will get plenty of clear racing room from the draw.

Victorian #5 CRONK BALE has run ok times at Horsham and Geelong recently and those times should hold up well in this field. #4 BORN IN QUEEN will be a huge threat as ran 31.29 placing over this trip recently. I like #7 and will be suited out wide.

The 2 has been exceptionally costly to punters lately, and might be here again. Gone a little wide in this race as the inside draws might get caught up together early allowing a few swoopers to come across at the first turn and get a 2l gap. But aside from that, you would be hard to leave out #1,2 as they are the ones to beat.
