Casino Race 6

Interesting race this with some speedy inconsistent types (well 7 is anyway).

Putting #1 KIDATEE MATT on top here due to the draw and he is in pretty good form with a strong win and placing at Casino with a good win at Lismore last start. Speed map doesn't show him beginning all that well, but that shouldn't prove too much of a problem as may be too strong in the finish (excluding trouble).

RACE 1

(4) Forty twenty will cross the line for another try here. Early speed will come from (5) Lightning Lizzy who will be far enough in front to stick on for the silver medal. Next in running will be (7) Black Bolter who did lead forty twenty last start before fading. (8)Miss Panama who’s record from out wide is worse than ordinary and would be clear 2nd pick if drawn inside but still cant rule her out completely. Old (2) War Hero is always around the mark & (1) Moschino isn’t hopeless for F4’s.

RACE 2

Have a big opinion of (4) Compact Journey. Last start 2nd to Eluthra is very strong form for this. She pings the lids and should find the lead easily here and drop in class. Everything to like about her in this. Should win. (1) Total Diamond beat her a few weeks back at WP when drawn more favourably out wide, gets the inside tonight though which doesn’t help. (2) UNCLE BULLY was more than impressive last start against Brislane who looks bound for better things. Also from that race we find (6) MOVEALONG TITAN who nearly, just nearly pinched it before being run down late. (7) COOL PADDY & (8) SAN FRAN might just find themselves too far back.

Have a feeling COMPACT JOURNEY might end up very skinny so I suggest MOVELONG TITAN each way at odds. & a quinella with 2,4,6.



RACE 3

Big wraps on (4) BENJI MAGIC. Should win, doesn’t really have a lot of opposition in this. You would be hard pressed to find a weaker city race.
(5) BREEZE ON BY should lead, but for how long?. Not past the post I would suggest… 13 starts here for 1 place, but the lack of strength of the race leaves us with those two. The rest are a fairly even bunch with probably (7) BORN TO BURN the one with the most upside.

RACE 4

Open affair here and good betting race. Like (4) DIAMOND FRENZY, beaten at a short quote as fav last start but can make amends here. He should be in the first few and if (6) NO DINGO does cross and lead I think DIAMOND FRENZY can take a nice camp on him and run him down on the line. (1) BASTOW is very consistant and can run a place. (7) THAI DREAM is suited out wide and should get a nice cart across from (6) NO DINGO and is a definite place hope. (3) CLASSIC LOVE will get back and have the last crack but might just pass on her tonight at the short quote.

(6) CANOOLIE is the obvious, led up radio star & co in a ffa 2 starts back so should find the lead here!. Will be hard to run down (8) CERTAIN MAGIC has a great record and is on the up. Wont be far off the lead and will get last crack at them.

Think its an easy one at the meadows greatsource?. EL GALO!!!. I didnt know he was running , I dont normally bet in melb but when the big fella is around ill have a little go.

REALLY looking forward to tonight now. Ill take him one out, surely he can cross the 2 and lead?. Any leg that you can see an upset? speed issues for the favs or anything like that?

Sorry for the late reply KP was at the track today.

I would say your selections would be pretty hard to topple in Race 5. CANOOLIE has the inside box vacant and there isn't a great deal of pace on the inside except for SNOW BUNNY. Is probably the biggest danger into the first bend. Id rather the 4 than the 1 in the exotics though, as last run at Nowra was pretty impressive.

Race 6 is pretty tough. I have SPELL FIRE as the roughy here. COOL FLIGHT and the inside draw TIAN HAO LEE are going to be right in the market one would think. Giving a few other handy Wenty runners like ELUTHRA some nice odds.

SPELL FIRE is a strong type and might get the sit on these.

As for interesting. SIMPLY BOND starts from box 8 for the FIRST TIME in his 50th career start. 25% career wins come from box 1. So a clear draw might put him into the picture here. But this race looks like COOL FLIGHT is just going to bound to the lead with ELUTHRA punch up on the rails and skip clear mid-race by about 2 lengths with SPELL FIRE running on late.

Race 7 Is certainly going to be an interesting race betting wise. As there are only two recorded wins between these eight runners in their last FIVE STARTS.

MAUDALICIOUS is going on top here, purely because I think she can lead here and avoid the trouble she has found recently. Is experienced enough at Wenty to know what its about, so looks good.

I would definately include the 3,4 CONFIDENT and EVANGELIA. EVANGELIA has faced some smart types recently and this is a nice drop in class. Should challenge for the lead here and has run 30.61 here in Feb. Doesn't have the strongest win s/r, but nor do the others here. But at least she has been racing at TAB tracks for quite some time. CONFIDENT is inconsistent and this field is going to suit her. But she has to begin well, otherwise its all over.


I would also include the 7 in top 4 picks for that race. But doesn't race that well outwide in my opinion. Needs the rails early to do best.


As for Race 8. If you want to net the quaddie. Go wide.

But watch for the outwide boxes here, 6,7,8 I would have them on top from 1,3. With those five in the quaddie, should go well.

7,8 are going to be the value. Both are good Wenty runners, and I would take consistent Wenty performers over recent form. As there is something about the track that some dogs just don't like. And sometimes form can be deceiving. Well for me it can be.

Going to be hard to fault #7 NITRANE in this race after her impressive sub 30 win at Sandown last time out. Has strong Cranbourne form which holds up well here too.

Would put in #8 PRINTER DELIGHT as a good EW hope.

Quinella paid well $47 for 7-5.

Don't mind NO DINGO at Wenty Race 4. Especially since there are no 3,4 in the race. They would have been the ones to beat. Thai Dream gets a good chance to win again here.

Watch for the 2. Might run a cheeky race.

It also depends on what track the rain is happening at.

I don't really like heavy winds though.

I don't even really like Wentworth Park. It's hard.

Port Pirie Race 10 #2 CUSTOM OAK each-way. Is only a G5 dog racing against a free-for-all. Litter-mate is UNO WHICH OAK and on their day they are both as quick as each other. So will get some big odds for #2 in this race. And did trial well here recently. So knows the track and is drawn well for that difficult first bend.

Sale Race 1 440m

#1 GO CHARLIE GO has won a qualy in 25.56 here. 5.45 is a fair average first split. But nothing to write home about. Trainer goes ok. Gets a good chance from this draw though.

#2 KORINDA Doesn't fair well in race conditions and tends to do best racing outwide. Unlikely to challenge.

#3 BLAZIN' ARCH Quick beginner last start. Which was against the norm. Ran 25.00 over this trip last start, which is quite quick. Might struggle to repeat performance though.

#4 SCOTCH AND FLY Might be in with a chance here. Has been tried at all distances and has met some ok types recently. I would put in as a good EW bet.

#5 ARVO'S TRIUMPH is 1/1 over this trip, winning in 25.25. Going to be right up there.

#6 Mr. BUNDY BEAR Is a 25.13 winner over this trip who is bred well. Going to be right in the market after being $1.50 on debut run.

#7 TANNOY Normally gets well back in the running. Find this though.

#8 FIVE AN DIME Too slow for these.

#1 EXPERT EYES Has been well supported in the market in first four career starts. Draws the red AGAIN and has to improve here today. So Give it a chance.

#2 OSSIA BALE Slick 24.41 winner over this trip and is going to be hard to beat.

#3 BACKYARD BRAWLER am only inclined to put in selections because does have some early pace, but tends to find trouble. So with the 2 pinging, might get a nice clear path into that DIFFICULT first bend.

#4 KINGPIN CARL Too slow out of the boxes.

#5 KANSAS WALTZ Is a litter-mate to the inside draw. Does have potential. But not willing to put in today.

#6 BITTA CASH Has the speed to cross a few on the inside and get a nice position early. This will boast wel for the rest of the race. Good chance.

#7 HOI HOI Was a heat winner. But don't be fooled. 1 win from 43 starts. Bet at your own peril!

#8 OLD ROYALE Can run around the 25.20s which is better than some here. But faces a tough task from this draw. If gets near the lead early, is good enough to run a place. But that would be all.

Sale Race 2 440m

Well with many punters looking to bounce back, I have a funny feeling they are going to unload on #3 SERENA BEE as is in top kennel. Broke 26s at Geelong on debut, then broke 25s over this trip last start.

You can load up on the short odds if you really want. Should win. But there may be some value to be had on EW bet for #7 REEN'S TORI was a good run last start from out-wide and gets an outwide draw here today. With plenty of pace on the inside, should give enough room to swoop on the outside of a couple on the bend. And if good enough, can run on into a placing. Should get $2.60-$3.00 for the place one would guess.

Port Pirie Race 2

#1 BE INTENT Trainer is going well of late with young pups winning all over SA. But it is a tough task to run well on debut at this difficult track, mainly due to that first turn.

#2 IMPROMPTU Just don't know about this runner. I really have no idea what to say.

#3 MOBHI MAC Was slow in Vic. Unlikely to change here.

#4 TILLY BALE Has raced here, so that is an advantage. Has run 31.33 at Gawler, so ready to go well here.

#5 WORTH HIS SALT Was a good run on debut. But ever since then has found plenty of trouble. Might excel here though. The one to beat.

#6 GANGES DELTA In good kennel and has raced at this track beforehand. I think will be unders in the market. Not willing to bet with the unders factor.

#9 CABANA BALE Not today,.

#10 TABU SORO Remember watching first win on this track. Might actually go well again here, afterall this field isn't overly exciting. So with track experience and a win over this trip. Could provide the upset. But has 2/42 wins. So don't get too excited about the bet size.
