Haven't really thought of that type of stuff to be honest Oaksy. Probably more of an interest is having a bet or two each fortnight, so not too worried if I don't really maximise returns. Cheers for the info though, hopefully I can remember it when putting quaddies on into the future. :thumbsu:

The Meadows Race 3 525m Grade 5 Heat

#1 Daze End loves racing from this inside draw with 3/5 wins to date. Has broken 30 seconds at Sandown so can definately cover the distance without a worry. The real worry is, the inconsistency in his starts of late. Last race was the first race that he has led from my memory, and that could be a problem. But it seems he doesn't like to race with dogs on his inside and likes to have a huge look at the lure before chases his best. Really did hammer home at Horsham last start in 27.36 BOD time from box 1. If runs like that, will be hard to stop.
Last start: #1
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33807

#2 Trekset is another who enjoys racing from the inside. Does best racing at Bendigo over the 430m and will have trouble getting near 30.20 over this trip, which will be what is needed to win. Last start showed good form, but was weakish in the finish, running 30.35 in an almost un-hampered run. Don't think the C4 is warranted in the form-guide as only got a slight knock at the start, and then crossed the field at the bend to be second. Not for me.
Last start: #8
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33706

#3 Spanish Maid is usually weak in the finish, but surprisingly hit a strong patch of form in Feb which including a sizzling 30.33 placing at Cranbourne after leading for almost all the way. Was fifth in Wangaratta cup heats last time out from the hard box 5 in a race won by Velocette (who needs no introduction). Really did want to get off the track mid-race on 6th June at Wang when third in 27.15. One of the strongest placing runs that night. I wouldn't be taking her.
Second last start: #5
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33040

#4 Paragon Patch was also a runner in the Wangaratta cup heats last Monday when 4th to Golden Promise from box 8 in 27.17. Was the? slowest cup heat. But this was only second run back from a LONG LONG spell when broke down at Shep 8th Septh 2008 suffering a fractured radius. So it has been a long wait for connections. Returned with a strong 29.83 BON win at Sale in April. Tough draw, but is smart type. Have to consider.
No recent video.

#5 Kenny John 6/14 career starts have been over this trip including this come from behind win in 30.22 http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33051 as you can see completely missed the kick when coming up with the boxes. Motored in the middle and ran on strongly to win. Three days later at Meadows the same happened from box 7, but got squeezed early. And that is the danger with those who begin quickly, they can find a lot of trouble in the run as they try and weave their way through traffic. Not everyone can do what Proven Alias did. Each-way chance.
Last start #7:
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33709

#6 Ashlee's Patch has faced some talented types in recent races in good times. Was second over this trip in 30.20 to Victory Time after finding some trouble. If runs up to that form will be a force to reckon with. Does alright from outside draws, only missing a placing on 4 occassions from 10 starts. So 50/50, but considering class, this is a nice drop. Definate place contender.
Last start: #3
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33701

#7 Dyna Battista 7/9 career placings. Inexperienced runner having first try at over 500m. Only broke maiden status 4 starts ago, that is of a concern. Not willing to take into equation here tonight. Got the dream run on the inside last start out to finish third. I doubt whether you get that many dream runs and without that dream run, I fail to see him in the placings here.
Last start: #7
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33881
#8 Omega Cowboy is more of a middle distance runner than 500m+. Did break 30sec at Traralgon last month, but that is no mean feat as they are running 29.6s and 29.7s consistently each meeting depending on the weather of course. Does enjoy racing outwide, so last start at Sale from box 2 you can ignore. Winner also went on to win last start too. So that is good sign for form holding up. Has placed 9/10 times from this draw, so you must take that into consideration. Ready to return to form!

Thanks Danger Mouse.

The Meadows Race 4 525m Grade 5 Heat

#1 Touch Up 11/23 career wins and is in the strong Kel Greenough kennels after racing in Western Australia. Watchdog form-guide says that she was a 30.03 trial winner here recently, and that is good news for favourite punters as hasn't raced since late January when injured. Strong type as she has won over the 600m so if she is anywhere near the lead on the final bend, look out. Definately a top contender.
No video.

#2 Meeka Bale is exceptionally hard to recommend on paper. 28.13 Horsham placing, 30.69 Meadows run, 25.69 Ballarat qualy win in Feb. It just doesn't convince any punter that she is capable of getting anwhere near in this race. Yet she has 12/19 career placings and her last start third at Horsham was respectable as she was checked back to third last during the important phase of the race. And wasn't blown away from the leader in terms of distance lost from that point onwards, and the winner went 27.36. Was 12.25l off, but as you can see in the replay, the 515m will suit. 4/6 placings over this trip too.
Last start #4
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33807

#3 Pure Cindy broke her maiden status two starts ago at Horsham in 27.51, then won at Warrnambool in a slow 26.04 as she overcame trouble. Too inexperienced for this field for my liking and not a fan of the breeding. Basically had the easiest of runs last start out, but lacked a little it of grunt when confronted early on. Just doesn't warrant an interest.
Last start: #1
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m32839

#4 Bush Knight 18/27 career placings and last start met some more than handy types, including race winner Hesa Falon who holds the Nowra track record over the shorts in 20.24, or something similarly crazy. You cannot cross a field like that, so it was a huge effort from box 8 to finish second. Won at Ballarat in 25.37 at the end of May, which is a strong time. Has won over 500m before, so should go the distance. Box is a query. Two starts ago at Sandown, began with them, squeezed a little entering the bend, but couldn't stay with the winner Railway Max who ran 29.91. Meadows is harder track, so might struggle here.
Second last start: #6
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33358

#5 Clay Breaker enjoys this trip with 4 of his 5 career wins coming from this trip. Although is an inconsistent beginner and that isn't something that you want to deal with as a punter, especially from box 5. Was trodded on last start, but before that won over the trip in 30.29. So hard to know what this dog is going to do. Would only include in exotics.
Last start : #7
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33698

#6 Carrazzo has a strong winning strike-rate with 12/33 wins. Has had two troubled runs recently, but both were presented with a strong finish when stuck out-wide. Think this race is suitable and has won over 500m before. 50/50 placings from outside boxes which boasts well at the Meadows as there is a long run to the first bend, longer than last start Warragul run over 424m in the wet. Like his chances.
Last start #8
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33794

#7 Redline Blitz One of the huge chances here as can be quite explosive. 26.66 Wangaratta win, would probable be a good enough time to win the cup. Last start 25.38 BOD Shep win, and before then a 27.09 Horsham placing. 7/20 career wins and from out-wide should get a clean run. Distance shouldn't be a worry, especially considering the times he has won in. There is no video from last run, but it was an all-the way victory in a strong time from box 1. If pings again, might lead all the way. Top chance.
No video.

#8 Tearaway Bale Has only 1 win from 27 attempts at this trip. Hardly inviting. Last 7 runs over this trip have been: 30.98, 30.34, 30.74, 30.88, 30.19, 31.18, 30.59 and in almost every run he has found trouble. Hasn't won since April, but the main problem is his early speed, and will have a lot of trouble finding the rail during the race from this draw. Unless of course, just walks out of the boxes. Hard to make a case for.

You can stand out each selection in the F4, but I would be having more on when standing out the 1.

Race 2 525m Grade 5 Heat

#1 Rock's Back was a good run 9th June at Horsham when second in 28.03. Would ignore the time, as started slowly and was checked mid-race when coming right into it. Had to weave through the traffic and finished on strongly for second. Distance will suit as has won over 600m at The Meadows in 35.18. Only 3 wins from 20 starts is a concern. Top chance as will be strong in the finish and has won from this box before.
Last start run: #6

Selections: 6-1-3-8

Value Pick ---->>> #8 Day Out will be huge overs in this field and does best racing from this trip and looks ready to be back amongst the placings.

#1 Rock's Back has been scratched during kenneling. So have to change selections.

Selections: 6-3-8-2 2-6-5-8 Win $8.00 Quin $12.50

*This makes Day Out a good EW bet now*

Absolutely blind as a bat in Rosebud sports bar last night but still managed to get a bet on El Galo last night...i love him...but was it me...or was he disappointing as all fck...i could not believe he got run down...someone check the brands to see if it was the right dog.

The Meadows Race 5 725m Mixed 4/5

#1 Amity Bale scored the third fastest recorded time over the 715m at Sandown Park last start in a stunning all the way win in front of Austin Bale. That was her first try at the distance in the Bate camp. Drawn to lead here and will be exceptionally short come race-start time. On-lookers will be clock watching this run, expecting nothing less than a superb time. Got pretty close to the lure at one stage, and that showed how good she was going. The one to beat. Clearly!
Last start: #4
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33369

#2 Melandri tends to charge home in his races which was evident in his 42.80 win over this trip in May. Unfortunately in this race you cannot give Amity Bale a 5+ length head start and based on that, Melandri is only going to be fighting for the placings. Didn't really fire last start after looking a possible winner on the turn. Unlikely to make up .8 of a second in this run. Only fighting for place chance.
Last start #8
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33363

#9 (3) Molly Janine only has two career wins from 22 starts and that is of huge concern against a quality line-up. Hasn't broken 43 seconds over her four attempts at this trip and that isn't a good sign. Would need a major pile-up to figure in this race as is completely outclassed. Last start did show a little, but hard to take into account.
Last start: #7
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33703

#4 Drifting received a check out of the boxes last start over this trip which cost her victory as she was flying at the end of the race. Might want the 900m race at Sandown as really did come on in the final stages of the race. But before that was smashed by 21 lengths by Amity Bale. That is a lot to make up. Definately a place chance.
Last start: #9
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33703

#5 Headley Bale is back to Victoria after a 6th placing in the Group 1 Gold Cup up at Albion Park. Is a consistent chaser who races at her best from out-wide. Will probably be the one they back to beat Amity Bale, so your not going to find much value here, especially late in betting. Maybe betfair is your best option to try and match some good money early. Is going to be a contender, not a pretender.
No video.

#6 Bees Wax needs to lead to have any possible chance in this field. Is simply outclassed and from this draw is likely to struggle. Has won at Sandown 715 in 42.73 and has broken 43 at Meadows. Just needs too much luck here. Best bet, include in F4s only for 3rd and 4th.
Last start; #8
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33703

#7 Sitting Bear does his best racing from this draw, and to me is ideally suited by the speed out here too. Has made a group distance final before, but winning a distance race is a bit different at city class, something he doesn't do and that is a concern. Was last in his last race, hard to turn around that sort of form so quickly. Place at best.
Last start: #5
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33363

#8 Beware is stepping up in distance again. Can he do an Amity Bale and surprise us with sizzling sectionals. Well I don't think so, but his last start run at Warrnambool did suggest that he can run the trip, but at a good pace, that remains yet to be seen. Willing to leave out in exotics as can see him struggling in the final 50metres. Especially against this class.

Sale Race 1 440m Maiden

#1 Hotline Maggee is still a maiden after 15 starts with only 4 placings, one of those from this box. Tends to begin on terms most of the time, but just doesn't have the mid-race pace to kick clear. As you can see in her last start over this trip, she just couldn't stay with the leaders early and faded away to finish a lucky 4.5l 3rd in 25.76. And that was a time scored basically unhampered, so would need a lot of improvement here. Place at best.
Last race #3
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33724

#2 Gaelic Colleen ran some nice qualy times at Traralgon earlier in the year, but since then hasn't really set the track alight, and the extra distance at Sale is unlikely to suit. As does have pace to lead this field, but runs this year do little to suggest that can run out a solid 450m. Runs at Healesville weren't strong at all.
No video.

#3 Lieca Laser is in a strong kennel and despite being a slow beginner this race is suitable, due to the weakness in the field. Has placed over this trip in both attempts in solid time. Might need to get a clean run as he charges through the field. Found plenty of bother last start, but kept on coming, so that is a good sign for this race here. One of the top chances.
Last start: #1
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33875

#4 Murya kennel is in strong form and only has two race starts to date, but both have been reasonably solid with 25.60 and 25.63 placings over this trip. Breeding lines threw plenty of winners, so wont be long before she breaks her maiden status. Could well be tonight.
Last start: #3
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33723

#5 Starleg does best racing in qualies and this box won't improve her chances at all. Struggling to date with one placing from seven starts and she just doesn't cope well under race conditions. Hasn't broken 26sec at Sale in qualy runs, so unlikely to challenge anyone here today. Did show some early speed in her last start, but still wouldn't take my chance on her. Only include in F4s for 3rd onwards.
Last start: #6
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33685

#6 Shanlyn Bo has been blown away in all of his four race starts to date. Did run with the front runners early on debut at Traralgon, so if he can show similar performance tonight, he might be with some sort of chance. Dogs also perform after a little freshen up, and he hasn't raced in over a month, so might not be the worst here. Place chance.
No video.

#7 Vibrant Lily Is in a good kennel and has placed 6/14 times, so just needs some luck to break through and might just get that from this draw. Has placed over this trip in 25.48, which is quicker than anyone else has gone in this field. Led early last start, but wanted to get off the track, and from box 7 that will favour her race style. Cannot ignore. Top chance.
Last start :#4
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33724

#8 Jocey's Boy hasn't placed in nine of his career starts to date. Only positive won a Traralgon qualy in 17.73, but even then, that time is less than impressive. Tends to get blown away all too often, and only performs well in small fields. Should be the rank outsider of the field, and should run like one too. Not for me!
No video.

Selections: 3-7-4-6

Value Pick --->>> #7 Vibrant Lily

Sale Race 2 440m Maiden

#1 Luck Of Irish doesn't exactly excite the form students out there and has the slowest early speed from the speed map in the watchdog. The inside box is unlikely to give him some Irish luck. Would need a severe form reversal to even come into the placings. Last start at Healesville didn't show anything and was beaten in one of the slowest races of the day by 4.5l in the best box.
No video.

#2 Dr. Chee Chee won a qualy over this trip in 25.33 and has scored a placing here in 25.47. Had a little freshen up after finishing last at Wangaratta so you can excuse that run when ran $2.40 favourite. Will be in the market once again, so don't expect to get flash odds.
No video.

#3 Drop The Pedal is in dams second litter. Don't think any from the first littler made it to the track. Litter brother made debut at Canberra and finished third. His debut run was a slow 25sec run at Warragul when beaten by 4l. Started $3.30 and that would only be due to the kennel that he is in. It was wet and he did cop some interferance when started to charge on the rail. Place hope.
Last start: #2
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33805

#4 Gaelic Tyrone is the oldest dog in the field and that should be of some help as will be more developed. Showed some promise last start, when slowish to begin, checked, pushed wide, yet was closer to the winner at the finish line, than he was at the start. Has raced over 515m at Traralgon with no success, so another go at the 440m might just do the trick. One to watch.
Last start: #2
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33724

#5 Inflames has shown enough pace in the early stages of the race to suggest that he might force those outside boxes wide on the bend. I would say that the battle to the bend will tell the story, as if doesn't lead, might find it hard to weave through the traffic, something that holds back most slow starting inexperienced dogs. Definately a contender.
Last start: #5
http://www.dartfish.tv/Player.aspx?CR=p7098c2865m33683

#6 Gettin' Gold looks to have gotten used to coming out of the boxes, as last two starts has shown some early speed. Has scored the fastest placing in this field over this trip in 25.34. Has steady Warragul form, but would ignore that, as some dogs just don't like that track. Ready to take these on.
No video.

#7 Voodoo Wench wondered what the owners were thinking with a name Voodoo 'Wench'. Maybe wench means something else in a different language. But anyways, was beaten by Jocey's Boy in a Traralgon qualy meet and that says to me. Leave me alone. Just won't match motors with these early and will need a lot of carnage to get into the placings.
No video.

#8 Roundabout slipped mid-race last start then gave up the ghost on the bend when knew he wasn't going to catch the leader. That doesn't exactly excite me. Although some dogs, do the opposite, just keep on going when they are in front. So for Roundabout the start is going to be of major importance. If near the lead, might just have a hope. If stuck behind runners, likely to give up once again. Surprise factor is there.
