SANDOWN

Race 1

#1 BANGER HARVEY Is in a top kennel and won his heat in 30.48. Made use of the inside draw in the heat and did have the perfect race. Seemed to struggle in the latter stages of the race. First split of 5.27 doesn't do much to excite. Will need to be a lot stronger this time out.

#2 SEEK AND DESTORY Is beautifully bred and on the speed mapping of this race, should lead from this box. That will give him every chance of winning here. Heat time of 30.22 was solid.

#3 WEARY WEBER Never had clear racing room in the heat and I am inclined to believe that there will be a fair bit of improvement to come. Will get a nice sit on the rails this race and has the experience to do things right. Has placed at Geelong in 25.82. So can certainly chase other dogs. Whether he can chase the bunny is another thing. One for placings. Heat time of 30.54.

#4 MAX BAXTER Has to lead this field to have any chance of winning. I don't think he will lead, therefore will just slowly drift backwards through the field. Is the oldest dog in the field by a fair margin

#5 ENGINE Well you can't fault the breeding. But is only in this race because of a pile-up on the bend in the heat. Was a solid favourite that time around and was slow out and found trouble. Can't be slow out in this heat as won't catch them. With quick beginner on inside, might steer clear of that trouble. So give another go.

#6 STATE OF POWER Was the winner of the heat that Engine placed in. And if you saw the race, well you know that these runners are lucky to be here. I don't think State Of Power can get that much luck in this field, especially not from this box. Not for me.

#7 IN THERE Is a BigFooty favourite. Hope he goes well. Has been jumping out of the boxes better, but this is a big ask to cross these. Did run on OK in the final stages of the race in 30.34, but will need to pull out a lot more if he is going to challenge these.

#8 HEATHER'S TAYLAH Was just going to win last race. Was OK out of the boxes, went wide and then cut right across to second on the bend in strong fashion and just ran them ragged in the middle section. Which is what you like to see. Easily the fastest heat winner in 29.97 and with box 8 you would think a repeat performance is on the cards. Too classy for these on the basis of the heat.

Yeah the #2 is beautifully bred and if you look at the split times. Split 2 was 19.19. Basically two tenths quicker than anyone else. So will take some catching.

i went to sandown 2nite, my first time. i got there just in time to watch race 1, an i had a massive grin on my face when i saw how fast an big they were.

my grin kept going thru the nite when i won a few races. putting a e/w bet each race.
