Race 3
Ok so we have had a quick glance at the field.
#1 ELITE HILTON Ran out of her skin at Bendigo recently with a 24.22 win. 3/9 placings over this trip. 2/4 placings this box. Doesn't win enough though.
#2 COOL AS DADDY Inexperienced and returning from injury. Prefer to watch.
#3 TELL EM 12 months since last win. Begins on terms. Suited for place here.
#4 BUTTERFLY FLIT Does best racing out-wide. But there isn't much pace on inside, so should appreciate that. Might fire.
#5 HOLSTEIN MISS Only 2/21 wins. But is strong type when compared to this field. Only needs to be with them early.
#6 BEST CONCLUSION . Pinger and races well here. Trouble is. 1/16 wins in career. Far from exciting.
#7 DULCIE'S CHERRY 8/29 wins. Amazing S/R when comparing to this field. And is dropping in class. Will start favourite and will run in the placings.
#8 KIM VIALIE Too slow.
Selections:
7-6-1-4-5-3-2-8
Bets:
#7-6-1 $1
#7-6-4 50c
#7-1-6 50c
The winning chances in this race are pretty clear. But the placings are not. So I would suggest that if you have found the winner. Your exacta bets should be extended all the way down to your 2nd last hope in the order of your market/selections.
For instance:
7-6 $5
7-1 $4
7-4 $2.50
7-5 $1.50
7-3 $1
7-2 50c
6-7 $3
6-1 $2
6-4 $1.50
6-5 50c
1-7 $2
1-6 $1.50
1-4 $1
1-5 50c
4-7 $1
4-6 50c
4-1 50c
OUT $28.50
IN $80.50
BUUTTTTTTTTTTTT the problem with this kind of betting, is that you need an impressive S/R for exacta's coming in your top 4 selections. And you need to know the market ROUGHLY to get the combinations right. Because you don't want $1 on a fav - 2nd fav combination.
On the flipside. If your market is OVERS and in your market fav-2nd fav comes up. Then your going to HIT it for many units and be laughing all the way to the bank.
I have a 50% S/R in exacta's boxing my top 4. With an average price of $26.
Enough to make long-term profit boxing. But that isn't where the real profit lies.
Hrmmmmm this interests memight need to following this a little more
Yes they are fantastic to watch. At least now I can slightly enjoy watching the harness racing in-between thanks to Danger Mouse and betfair (laying those who gallop in the score-up from the last line).Gotta love Monday night Greys
Is there any reason why the non Vic/SA meets don't show up in the form guides, yet if you do a tiny bit of tweaking, you can get their form guide. It just doesn't have the recommended bets. Still has the tips and comments and obviously no videos.Yes they are fantastic to watch. The only problem is with those who are new to greyhound racing, is that every race is a betting opportunity because they have roughly the same knowledge on each race.
South Australia is good now with The Watchdog video's and Form-Guides for Gawler and Angle Park.
I don't quite follow. Is there any reason why the non Vic/SA meets don't show up in the form guides, yet if you do a tiny bit of tweaking, you can get their form guide. It just doesn't have the recommended bets. Still has the tips and comments and obviously no videos.
Sorry. The Watchdog, if you go into their Form Guides drop down menu, you only get Vic and SA guides. Same goes if you click the meeting name on the right. Only Vic and SA meets work.I don't quite follow.
Which form-guide are you looking at? What is missing? And what do you want?
I realise that there are many RAPID punters out-there who enjoy small bets race-to-race cheering at the fact they are collecting.
We have a few different banks going to accomodate for the punting style and the amount of time spent. Because we wouldn't want to spend as much $$$ on something we looked at for 45 seconds compared to 1.5 hours...... that doesn't make sense.
I will EDIT this post as we go.
BANK $200
Staking 1% per WIN/PLACE 2% on Confident 0.5% per Exotic
Bet #1 Shep Race 8 #1 CONNEL BALE PLACE $2 X
Bet #2 Angle Park Race 1 #3 FAIR BOWER WIN $2 1st $2.10
Bet #3 Angle Park Race 1 #3-2 EXACTA $1 X
Bet #4 Shep Race 9 #6 TUFF TO CHOOSE PLACE $2 1st $3.00/$1.20
Bet #5 Angle Park Race 2 #3 BREER TIME WIN $2 1st $1.50
Bet #6 Angle Park Race 2 #3-1,4 EXACTA $1 (50c each combo) WIN $4.50 on 50c bet
I personally refrain from place punting unless the odds are going to be of value.Another moral for a place paying $2+.
Oaks, do you find backing for a place very profitable?
