how do u work out the odds of a quinella? for example i had $50 on 1-6 quinella, it got up paying 3.30, the odds for the 2 dogs were 6 (3.70 win) 1 (1.50 place).... thought it woulda been higher considering the winner payed 3.70

It's all dependant on the pool size and what percentage of that pool has the winning combination. There are quinella estimates on the TAB sites just as there are quaddie estimates.

You need to know the WIN odds of both runners in your quinella.

And there is a calculation to estimate what the quinella shoud pay based on their WIN odds. But it isn't worth using, because the pools are so small and they change too fast for you to make a long term accurate assessment of what the dividend will be.

Plus your $50 more than likely would have been around 10% of the pool at that time of night. Huge chunk taken out of your dividend right there.

Very open. Anything from Box 1-4 can give it a shake. 7 and 8 also have speed.

Looked good there, then the #1 pulled up, looked to be injured. Came in 4-2-7.

#6 Barely's Image - Looks very good. Only 2 dogs who have raced over this trip, so questions over the rest, leaving 2 clear selections imo.
#8 Miss Reblee - Likes the longer races, but should be happy here. Should be good out of the boxes
#1 Awesome Dare - Looks best of the rest. Raced over 600 before.

Some good dogs in this FFA over the 531. Should see a good race

#1 Flame McBain - Been racing in form, and has put up some good times from middle boxes. Should appreciate the red box.
#3 Direct Order - Should come home strong, hoping for a place I think. Seems to like the inside boxes, so should be a threat.
#4 Avid Willow - Rising in class after a nice win over the 515. Place hope.
#7 Quinton Bale - Looks a good chance here. Runs well from outside boxes.
#8 Dancing Dash - Has potential to challenge, but looks a place hope

#3 ran very well. Took a check, then railed the 1 and 7, finished well.
