Yeah, having a few free rolls so early in the night is pretty good. In my punting youth I would be betting on everything through the night, and wonder why I wake up the next day losing. Not now. Certain bets, no more, and the bottom line loves it ;)

Dapto is a leaders track, that first corner can be a killer, but the ones I bet, early speed as you know, it can be profitable. I have to be really confident of being in front at the post the first time though, as like you say, anything can happen from there on in.

Clearly you know your dogs mate, and I would never try and turn you away from what might be a winner, but to me, it seems you have way more bets than what would allow you to really smash through higher profit levels.

I reckon it's not beyond someone to get 40 winners out of 100 races. Now there is 100 races a day, but why bet in all of them? Why not try and throw away the lesser class races, or the ones where you yourself know you have studied as hard as you really could.

No one can study every race field, or know all the dogs, so why not try and drop that 40 our of 100, down to say 25 out of 40-45?

Get rid of the deadwood, the bets we have just for betting sake, and really hammer the ones you are confident and know you have studied well enough.

Don't take this post the wrong way mate, your profits over the last fortnight are massive. It's just my opinion that you could stick at that profit level while cutting back your bets and really raising the POT of your greyhound betting. You have the knowledge :thumbsu:

Cheers mate, i always appreciate constructive input.

I am cutting down atm and that is the best advice i can get. I generally only have 10-25 bets in a day and im looking to cut that down to 5-10 over the next month and then down to 5-15 in a week, by (as you said) smashing better bets. I do appreciate your advice, thats why im liking your feedback in this thread, i take everything as a lesson and nothing as a personal attack, so any other advice you come across will help.

Because to be honest, my units should be 150/200 instead of $75 and ill get their with more restraint and better "best bet" selections. :thumbsu:

Oh and im jumping off the Jessinia bandwagon.

Cannot take contact whatsoever.

It is hard.

In fact, as a punter, it is the hardest thing of all to do, because you will actually let winners go. That is the hard part, but when you sit back and realise that for every winner you let go by, there are 5 or 6 or 8 losers that you didn't punt on. A bet not had is a bet not lost. Then you train yourself to be happy with your bets that you do put on. To be happy it takes study and then you can unleash a la Fancy Dean. I am sure you were happy with that bet from the time you placed it! That is what you want to be like with the majority of your bets, and like I said, it takes time, patience and is the hardest thing to do as a punter. Discipline.

I will eat my words, Vince. Well played.
Cheers mate :thumbsu:

Nice call and profit vincey, lucky beauy didnt take you on :p.

Whats odds did you get?
I wasn't happy with the 7.00 fixed due to what the totes where showing so took the middle tote plus a touch on Ias. It is all cream on top tonight. :D

Beauy!!!

She was up in class tonight, and got stuck between a couple of decent sized dogs.

She will make a nice bitch, and 600m should suit in time. Like I said, she is still learning, she is only a baby, she will win her share of races mate :thumbsu:

Unique venom is in the rich final of the VBIS series tonight. Some very quick dogs in it and he is going to need some form of luck for him to win but box 8 is ideal as he seems to like the outside.

I like the 1 in this race, cant wait to watch it though, what does everyone else think?

Looks hard to beat, I think the value is the #2. Not sure why its $20. It was only a length off the Red last start. Unique Venom will get last crack at them but the times some of these run I just cant see him making up the ground. Id be stoked if he could run 3rd but he's only going to be $6-$7 and its just not value. Ill be backing the 2 each way for a bit of an interest but im more than happy for UV to run straight past him  Hopefully we hear from Brenno before the race!

times mean nothing sometimes in these type of races. A bump or check can cost u lengths an he is in the right box to get a trouble free run. Fingers crossed for some early trouble

Good luck lads in the final. Dog will need to improve around 4L you would think to take it out or be the recipient of a first turn jam up. Definetly the box to do.
