Beauy and Brenno, Dyna Tron was a perfect example of a dog that I make my profits from.

Run down right on the line last week, in fast time. The only thing I am not happy about is I missed the 3.50 and took 3.20.

I picked this dog from the replay, and I follow that formula for most of my greyhound betting. The introduction of the fixed odds markets has seen my profits skyrocket too. Probably the best thing to happen to my punting for a long long time.

Hard one to answer.

I have seen them out at midday, then seen them gone at 3, back at 5, stuff like that, Centrebet definitely aren't consistent.

The good part is once they go up, they all go up. Iasbet are trying to match them with fixed odds, but theirs only go up 5 or so minutes before each race.

It is good to have a little competition though. 3 chances to get odds that you are happy with beats having to put up with the volatility of the tote markets.

I only think it statred last night, but Iasbet launched their city superprice for the two big greyhound meetings.

As a long time greyhound punter, I am of the opinion that we have never had it so good as we do right now.

We can choose between fixed odds at Centrebet and Iasbet, and now for a few meetings we get better than all 3 totes guaranteed with Ias. This is one of the best things to happen to punting for a long time, and has been highly anticipated.

If you want to have a decent bet on a greyhound, why would you use one of the three tab pools? A bet of even a couple of hundred dollars slews the prices and you are costing yourself money. The pools are so small, it really is not worth it. I highly recommend betting with Ias or Centrebet as now you are getting as close to the best you can get.

No malice intended. I was just stating my first thoughts when reading that dog. Also, I have made very few comments in this thread at all. When I have, they have not been "after" the race. The only comments I had made was tips for the final of the forums dog race, and also thoughts on the forums other dog, Prank Call, which I might add, was both before the race was run and I was correct on both counts. The wa I saw it, I thought he would be slowish out and find the rails into the back. I was banking on class, by far the best dog in the race, but I can see that it was a bad bet in the end. I didn't see the race.

RE : Atlanta McLaren. Was easily the classiest dog in the race, but can be very hit and miss. It was big time miss last night, missing the start, staying last the entire race.

RE : My Secret Shiraz. Jeez, if it was ever going to win a race on the back of its 29.58 win from a wide draw earlier on in its career, it was going to be yesterday. Disgraceful, not to mention it actually peaked on its run in the home straight and missed a place.

11 goes from Box 7 and Box 8 for 1 win(and that win was at lowly Mt Gambier when breaking its maiden) and 0 placings. Looks a small drop in class tonight but it goes utterly horrible from wide draws.

I marked this as a dead set wide dog a few runs back, it uses the track into the first turn. Don't like the rest of the field either, down in grade. Differing opinions with analysis are great. Cheers for the info too.

EDIT looking like it might start 7 or 8 dollars too, I will be happy with that.

5 of the 8 pink box starts were in Melb, with another last week in a good FFA and another over 600m. So those stats might be skewed a little. Tonight will tell. Also has been slightly up in weight in recent starts, which is not ideal.

I won't be backing Led Zepp again until he has had a freshen up. Has raced consistantly since heading to SA, and the last few starts he has appeared sluggish, and his times have dropped off a few lengths. Only won because of such good early speed, I don't expect him to beat this opposition tonight.

Jumped well, but they went passed pretty quick down the back. Racing weight needs to drop.

Yup. It did not look like it was exactly happy being in between two dogs. Yesterday was a bit of a wash overall with some far below par runs, namely Satan's Assassin back to his old NSW tricks.

R6 - No.6 Beau Joker 2u/3u - One of Tasmania's most reliable beginners who struggles the last 50m if opposition close. (2nd - $1.70P)

R3 - No.8 Sister Ping 5u/10u - This will more than likely be my biggest bet of the night depending on price. It has terrible form on paper but has been completely luckless in runs lately. It draws off the track in a 6 dog race and with a speedy beginner in #7(similiar to Many Talents), it will get a terrific run into the race. Again, small field helps and it is going to be the best improver of the day. (u/p - and disgraceful running up the leaders butt)

EDIT: Box #4 and #5 come out hard and fast to the left too, making this bet even more juicy.

R10 - No.8 Savant 2u/3u - Boxed well. Came from last to narrowly be beaten at Gardens last week. Near impossible task to do over the 400m trip. (1st - $7.50/$1.50)

R6- No.4 Big Thursday 2u/3u - Gr8 return to form last week and can show blinding box speed. Should be extremely juicy odds again from the draw (u/p)

Townsville
