actually griff has had two poor games, and hasnt impacted the scoreboard which is what we need. amazingly vickery is actually pretty good as a forward/ ruck back up as it keep him involved in the game. I fully expect griff to bounce back too...

Has he kicked a goal since Vickery was dropped? Serious question. Has he even had a shot? He's been better around the ground than Vickery but his forward work has been very poor. Personally I would have gone Riewoldt Edwards Griffiths, but I can understand the appeal of Riewoldt Vickery.

2. Even when he played dead set howlers he d still chalk up a couple of goals
3 he has credits in the bank with good games he has played, if he finds touch at vfl I have more confidence he will be closer to delivering than griff continuing to flounder and fail to make most of his chances

Start considering defensive aspect of the game Bo . Vickery has played a lot of his career with the advantage of Push up covering his arse defensively . When that has not happened TV 's shit defensive attempts have been exposed for what they are.
Also let's not forget Griffiths plays higher up the ground and his kicking is a far more damaging weapon .

If Vickery put up those numbers everyone would be calling for his head. He has been impressive this year but his form has tapered off a bit. Hopefully it's not a long layoff though.

Agreed, we have all been waiting and hoping for griff to get a decent crack and show something. He has, and unfortunately we are all so desperate for him to succeed that we are considering stat lines like that as good form.
No goals and total 10 marks in 3 games for someone who is playing forward/ 2nd ruck is just not flattering enough to justify keeping his spot.
Disappointing he got dropped, although his stat line is equally disappointing

I was at the game. I believe my stats numbnuts.
He was very unimpressive against a very very average team.
Griff played against Hawthorn not a hack team like Frankston. We never had the ascendency like our VFL side had in the first half.

Read my post. Are you so short sighted you only look at possession numbers? Even if he had 17 (which he didn't) the quality of those possessions was low and as I said they were against a back line that he should have dominated. Against Hawthorn with the same effort he would have had no impact at all.

The match was a draw so saying they came in the last few minutes would be a good thing. Means he stepped up when needed.

But they didn't come in the last 2 minutes. His goals came when the scores where:

70-54 to put us up 76-54, 3rd quarter
85-81 to put us up 91-81, 17 minutes gone in the final quarter
91-81 to put us up 97-81, shortly after his 2nd

2 very crucial goals when the game was on the line.
