I was at the game and the last two goals I remember came deep in the last. The facts are he should have dominated the game to warrant a recall. The Frankston defense is one the worst in the VFL (not AFL)!
One goal till deep in the last was still pathetic. He hardly did any defensive or pressure acts either which is what stood out for me.
He needs to bring this to his game.

Look no further then the hawks, kids play in the reserves for 2-3 years.... get a game, if you dont perform.... back to the vfl please. I like griff, but we need players that are mentally tough enough to endure this type of treatment. What about when Maric comes back in......inb4 meltdown for hampson getting dropped without playing a bad game

He says with a straight face without questioning how Grigg, Houli, Pettard, Edwards and co are still in the side.

It's just not that. There are many guys who have underperformed all year and don't get dropped. TV plays one shocker and one barely passable game against a crap VFL team and is reselected.
It's the cumulative number of bewildering decisions that is the problem...

TV has demonstrated he has the ability to actually make an impact at senior level, griff has NoT, tv performance finding some touch at vfl naturally warrants a recall when the kpp currently chalks up 7-8 lousy touches. Seriously how can u argue that form should keep a guy out of the side , laughable really

What other selection blunders, rance, delids and vickery returning, azza slotted to chf , whe. The sen side hasn't topped 10 goals in last fortnight, yeah, real blunders, let's stick with 3 kick griff , **** me , keep it real

griff, vick, jack, hampson, edwards and maric are vying for essentially 3 possibly 4 spots.
As for grigg, houli, pettard and sheeds, the only 2 players in my opinion that deserve a chance in the ones to replace one of these guys are miles and lennon. One is a rookie ( for now) and one is being given longer in the 2's to learn how to defend.

The game before last, Giff had 24 pressure acts, 5 inside 50s and several tackles. Have you got any memory at all?

It's the Richmond way, draft a forward. Make him play defence.

Where do I start ?

Grigg - Creates space, takes uncontested possessions, stops, props, kicks sideways or backwards. Picked every game this year.
Petterd - Great spoil in the goalsquare against Carlton. Gave away 2 goals last week from VFL standard mistakes.
S. Edwards - Has the rare cameo. Might impact a game for 10 minutes and then goes missing for a couple of games.
Chaplin - Slow and can't kick at this level.
Morris - Not right. Something needs to be done about his shoulder

Vickery returning - Undeserved. Played one good quarter in two games at VFL Level.
Azza as CHF - Hilarious ! Played one or two games at VFL level and straight into the side
Grimes - Showed a bit more last week. Chaplin needs to go.

Arnot - That's how you build confidence, drop the kids. At least he had a go last week.

Of course I'm happy with Lids and Rance. That would be pretty obvious to most.

Like Grigg has done.

Would be a good lesson except if the current senior side is anything to go by. None of them have a decent defensive bone in their body.

Agree A T, Griff did better in the ruck than hampson, the amount of times hampson dawdles with his back to play is something you would expect to see in the under 8s.He gives bugger all to us his marking stats so far are sub standard, winning hitouts doesn't make you a ruckman , the only time against the hawks that we looked good in the ruck was when griff was in there. Last match might not of been as good as Griffs earlier ones but he played his part as decoy dragging Lake away from Jack and out performed Hampson, so his dropping this week is a disgraceful decision by the match committee and Hardwick and co really need to lift in this area

Lol, it was wackers like you that slagged whitey his whole time at RFC , petterd this season averaging 20 possies 6 marks at 76% disposal eff! oooh yeah but his hopeless ummm coz he came from Melbourne :drunk:, he s far from our problems....I agree Chaplin has been useless and grigg is a major culprit in going sideways before forwards but don't take a shotgun out , it's not accurate

Neither is Grigg's kicking, kind of important for an outside player.
