Given Grigg didn't play you must mean Judd's miss in the last quarter, or was it Waite's? Both cost you the game, and probably a Preliminary Final spot against St Kilda. And we are talking things up![]()

Given how they are talking Collins up on the Carlton board, you would think he's the new messiah.
Rusty Trombones' posts could end up being the greatest slow burn troll of all time.![]()
To think we used to give it to the Rusty one for his over the top Collins manlove. The poster in that thread has taken it to a whole new level. He is the one a thread created comparisons to J Hird can it get any better.
Hardwick and the rest of the coaches seemed to somehow fix many of our players kicking Look at Riewoldt he kicked 32.27 last year to 78.39 this year and if you have watched any of our games over the past two season you would have seen the inprovement in King, Edwards, McGuane and a lot of our other players inprove there kicking and decision making. I cant say i have seen alot of Grigg play but if his aledged bad kicking and decision making can be improved he will be a very good player for Richmond.Grigg's pace is exceptional and he's decent at breaking the lines. His main issues are disposal and decision making.
In 2008 Grigg looked fantastic, kicking skills and all. He looked to be in our starting 18. 2009 and he was out injured with an ankle, came back in through the VFL and played rather poorly. 2010 came in and played extremely well, though his decision making is still a bit of an issue.
I think he'll be one that will both please you but will also frustrate you at times. Don't expect him to be hitting up targets lace out, but he'll definitely get the ball going in the right direction for you.
As much as I disliked the way that he left, I'll still be rather interested in his development. At worst you've got yourselves a servicable midfielder that should stay in your side should he keep up his 2010 form.![]()
nah in 2 years time collo wont be good enough to make our starting 22 & pointless just getting him for depth.
also he would of been infected with that blue disease & it might be infectious.

Aren't we risking that infection with Grigg anyway?
At first I wasn't so sure about getting Grigg after having a good look at the Grigg highlights on the RFC club website I can see why the club went out to get him. We will be a far better side with Grigg. He looks calm under pressure and makes the right decisions a clever footballer. Richmond has won on this trade and has made the correct decision.
I have this feeling that Hardwick will lead our club to its next premiership.Would not surprise if we made the eight next year.
Farking lmaoooooooooooooDeep down u know it is not true. I honestly thought we would have to give up more than Grigg for him.
Wait to Grigg starts constantly bombing it and turning it over and u will change your tune.
Imagine if he said Jack would kick 3.Early call, good call....
Thats high character premiership player to you.Don't know who is better cause I haven't seen Collins play too often... however on pure character alone... it seems like we have traded the worst character money hungry easy game chasing player, for a grand bloke who gives it his all and is fully motivated
Poor old Collins never had a chance at Carlton, while Grigg cant wipe the smile off his face after escaping the Reject Shop for a Premiership at the biggest club in the comp.
Took a few years but eventually happenedhe has been clensed & has seen the light................. thats why he has asked to be traded to richmond.
expect gibbs to be not far behind, but heading across the border to south australia.
For me it's not about who is better Grigg/Collins. It's more the principal of trading out a good player that we have worked with for two years, was a good team man and rated by supporters.
I wanted to get Grigg, but Collins should have been one of our 'untouchables unless its a ridiculous offer' and this certainly wasn't a ridiculous offer given there are a number of other ways that we could have had Grigg.
Re: Collins is becoming a Cotchin?
This is just terrible terrible list management.
Carlton by length of Flemington straight*OK. In the wash up... who won this trade?
