How about you take a dump on your board and name it Merv Keane or Adrian Dodoro?

Should not have been brought in.
You can't take a bloke from VFL level and expect them to play well in AFL finals the next week, especially if they've never done it before.
Has had a poor year and I'm hoping its just due to the injuries, just bombs the ball forward now without looking. Settle him on the HBF next year and give us some drive as Scotland and Houlihan come to an end.
He and Russell should be our playmakers from half back for next year.

I was steadfast in saying that Grigg didn't deserve a spot in the 22 in the past few weeks based on his VFL form, yet the majority of this board was crying bloody murder because he wasn't in the side.
Crap form in the VFL will generally lead to even worse form in the AFL. He's gone backwards this year and I hope he gets back to his 2008 form in 2010.
I also don't understand the thoughts about Grigg being an in and under type of midfielder? His disposal under pressure is absolutely shocking.

Blame the match committee not Grigg,his a young player who hadn't played for months in the AFL we could have used Fisher who played in big games and is older or Ohailipin.

Grigg was terrible but BOWER was by far our worst....kept playing loose on a half fit Bradshaw who won them the bloody game!
If anyone has gone backwards in the last couple of months its Bower...I'll have Austin please...

IMO in Jamma and Waite's absence he's really stepped up to become our #1 defender, he is quite good in the air and can be relied upon to do his job week in, week out.
Can't see how you think he's gone backwards.

How you you criticise Bower. He has been our No. 1 defender this year. He has been on one leg in the last part of the year, and if Jamison and Waite had been ok then he woudnt have been playing, such was his injury. He has had the balls to have a crack and hurt his opponent every week. With Bower you know your going to get a commieted effort and even if he gets 4 or 5 kicked on him, he will back himself and have a gallop. Your all idiots if you bag him. You cannot blame him for the last Bradshaw goal. If you watched then u would have seen Bower copped a knock on his injured knee about a minute before that and wasn struggling to run.

U guys bagging Grigg are probably the same tossers who bagged JR. He was rushed back to cover for Hadley and had a bad one, yet he is young and will be a good player as is JR.

I do not believe Grigg is capable of being a good player for us. For a midfielder, he simply cannot kick. He is a good size bloke, can run but without foot skills he will struggle to be a good AFL footballer.
Look at Adelaide, all their players use the ball so well.
I think Grigg is a perfect example of Carlton recruiting. We only seem to get the top 10 draft pics really right and the rest are massively hit and miss.
I am talking about Russell (although improved this year not going to be great AFL footballer), Grigg, Browne, Armfield, Anderson, Benjamin
Of course their have been some goods ones, Joseph, Gartlett, Simpson, Carrazzo, Fisher (for a 70 pick), Jamieson, Bower
