the kid can play.
been killing it in the Ants but i don't see him fitting in our line up any time soon.
You look at the players in the Ants and there would have to around 5 ahead of him to get the call up..
what are your thoughts on him? Maybe GC?
:thumbsu:

Word is that he has signed for the GC, that's why he is not getting a look in with the senior squad at the moment.

If he has signed for the GC then good riddance, pity because I liked him, thought he was part of the future for Carlton.

Agree with Sin.
IF he has signed with GC, then don't play him. Give games to guys who are part of our present and future.
If he hasn't or we don't know about it then I'm sure he'll get a chance this year.

I believe Grigg has been out for a month with an ankle injury, so he's played just the last two weeks in the VFL.

And our midfield isn't exactly easy to break into.

We would be wise to play Grigg and not Hadley if that's our best team.

GC or not.

Grigga is more versatile and athletic than Hadley.

If he breaks into the side by following instructions and plays well, then he could finish higher in the B & F.

If Grigg took a good look at the list GC will assemble, he'd actually stand a better chance of having a break out season in our midfield.

Could take the place of Scotland down the track.

I have a few mates who are friends with Grigga and in the past all of the info that I've got from Shaun via them has been spot on. Eg - Injuries, in's & outs...

They've never mentioned anything to me about him signing for GC. If he has signed with them he's keeping it very quiet. I'm going to ask a mate to ask the question next time he sees him.

Grigg has great potential, but has suffered from injuries over the last year and a half. I hope he stays, I think he can be a great player for us.

As to whether he is picked this year or not, it should not be influenced in any way by the GC. If he should be picked on his merits then he plays, and his compensation value increases. If he shouldn't be picked on his merits then he doesn't play, and a player who will be here next year gets more experience.

Havent been able to get the word on his future, but imt elling yo now, he will be played at stages this year if he is off to the GC, so we can get 5 or 6 more games into him, to increase his value (as games played overall and the past season is taken into account when working out the compensatory pick)

Dont GC get one pick from each club to take an uncontracted player???? If thats the case why would the Blues worry about getting games into Grigga in the GC can get him for free???

Well I for one hope that these rumors aren't true, I want him to stay at Carlton, has a lot of potential and I do like him.

im thinking more that hadley is the in and under player that we need to help release judd more whereas grigg is the runner and ball magnet.

Grigg is similar to Carrazzo was when he first started....would get 35 touches easily, but his opponent would get the same if not more running the other way. This is what hurt last season in the seniors...he is verymuch all one way and needs to improve his defensive side...but i havent watched many games of the Ants this season so if he has improved that then it does seem strange that he doesnt get a chance.
