Same old flatness. Johnson should have been picked in the squad, Cole should be on the pitch. Walcott was average during the season but he is a unique player who can change a match when he is switched on, so maybe he should have been picked. There is no spark in the English side because they have picked the same old players.

England will probably make it through but wow has Capello's tactics/selections been average or what.

Their passing was all over the place and their players off-the-ball movement was static. Algeria made them look like a school boys team. Utter garbage from England.

No wonder england are shit when hacks like Heskey get a game.

Rooney is pathetic for England much like his team mates Gerrard (he is shit at club level anyway) and Lampard.

Honestly england should play this midfeld:

Walcott-Lansbury-Eastmond-Wilshere

Remind me like France, really don't care. Some teams have shown such little passion, do they even care about the World Cup? England and France are the ones in particular that just don't show much emotion, not having a laugh, not trying to pump each other up. I really don't like Gerrard.

Really sad and disappointing, England cricket team has far more passion. Don't give them a World Cup, then again when half of Arsenal's youth players come into the national ranks, they'll prob show far more passion. Walcott definitely had an average season but like I have mentioned already and others have, he can turn it on and trouble teams, unpredictable. Not like the rest of the squad, utter boring crap. Nothing annoys me more than teams not giving a shit, rather see some African minnow try their guts out and have more passion in their finger than England has in their whole squad.

Englands best shot will be next WC.

Rooney
Walcott
Johnson
Smalling
Wilshere
Gibbs
Manciene
Rodwell

etc

These guys actually have a bit of flair rather then englands current midfield which lacks creativity and speed.

Worst I've ever seen England play. By far.

They were actually pretty decent against the USA but they were without answers/useless to the tactics employed by Algeria.

They didn't deserve anything from the game.

Don't think I've ever seen them play anything close to that bad at a World Cup.

Serious questions have to be asked about Capello's team selection and his tactics.
Because they are and were shit.

I see you failed to mention the pile of crap performance from the player that SWP replaced as well..? SWP was only marginally better than Lennon, but I think it's hilarious that you target Sweep rather than taking off your yid glasses!

Utter bullshit.

No coincidence that most of England's chances came through Lennon. I don't think Lennon had a great game but there were plenty worse out there.

SWP is an awful excuse for a footballer. Give me Young or Walcott anyday.

It's pretty funny that people still think that these England players are "stars". Basically they're a bunch of hard working battlers that don't play major roles for their domestic teams. Look at most of them and if they weren't English then they'd be merely looked upon as solid workmanlike players, not the stars that the public makes them out to be. Even Rooney benefits immensely from a more creative midfield at MU getting the ball to him where he can use his power and skill.

Compare player for player the best teams of Argentina and England. How many positions is the English player better? Maybe 2? Even then it's not by much. In contrast a player like Heskey starts for England yet wouldn't be in Argentina's best 15 strikers. England simply don't produce great players and yet again the public gets blinded by these players doing the easy jobs domestically while riding on the coat tails of the really talented players in the EPL. When will they learn? Going by the build up to this world cup and the continual description of these players as the "golden generation" they certainly haven't learnt yet.

Lampard and Gerrard are absloutely vital to their respective sides, and the same can be said for Rooney and Terry.

To say that they don't play a major role is severly underrating them, and probably overrating a number of other players as well.

Gerrard was instrumental in our seventh place finish, that's for sure. Has been utter gash for the last year, and not to mention an complete knobend to go with it.

His interview after the game just re-inforced exactly why this collection of pompous, arrogant, overrated clowns will never win anything.

"Yeah we should have won and deserved to win, but it was their cup final."

Algeria were by far the better team. Cup final my arse. That implies you're a good team Gerrard. The reality is that you're an average bunch of plodders.

Hope Slovenia send these dipshits packing.
