Iaquinta is a hack of epic proportions, Lippi has really stuffed it this time, Cassano should have been picked.

Pirlo is going to help create and set up the play.........thats not the issue the issue is who is going to finish it, Iaquinta and Gilardino are rubbish.

what has become of cannavaro.. one of the greatest defenders in history, partly to blame for the first set piece goal conceded against paraguay, and he was to blame for the set piece goal that nz scored.. you can argue that it shouldn't have been a goal, but italy nor nz didn't realise at the time.. yes what's wrong is wrong but still we played it like no mistake had happened

lippi's a bit of a **** for not choosing giuseppe rossi either.. need someone in the team that can ****ing run with the ball, dribble and try and create something

desperately need pirlo back. sorely missing his passing game

i dunno about iaquinta... he looked better in the first half, he held the ball up better when italy wasn't in 4-3-3 formation

**** i hope pirlo is fit for slovakia

can we bring back baggio or vieri to play up forward... old yes, but at least they can finish a pass for ****sakes

not confident with cannavaro at set pieces anymore.. he's still good in the air when the long ball is played, but gee what's happened with the set pieces

anyway, having said that, he'll still start seeing as he's captain and has the gold pass.. hell even i still love him but he deserves criticism

see the thing is you gota have at least 1 tall forward.
in 06 WC we had Toni & Iaquinta and it worked out.
Iaquinta is very agile for his size and we have no one else like him in italy.

No.... ahead means now= current, They are NOT ahead, anything can happen yet, who would have thought some of the upsets so far, Their only saviour is Paraguay dont really want to lose and Italy is crafty enough to be on the phone to Paraguay right now telling them that that would appreciate a good performance...Either way Italy needs to be scoring next match

And in the NOW, Italy have the far easier game next.

That puts them ahead of NZ in the likelihood of going through to the next stage.
