They will still be driving their Ferrari's (with their world cup meddalions from 4 years ago around their neck) while you are paying rent...Do they really care that much? Honestly?
Do they care about being held to a draw by NZ on the biggest stage?

Yeh, probs.

SO whats the go now do Italy have to win to go through ?

Unfortunately, Italy just need a draw provided New Zealand lose to Paraguay.

If both Italy and NZ draw then I have no idea who goes through - both will be on the same goals, points and goal difference.

Nah, it was the apparent shotgun blast to the back of De Rossi that decided it. Shirt tugs happen in every match half a dozen times yet they're never paid because the player doesn't drop to the ground.

At least the defender didn't cop a red for it.

meh.. if every shirt tug is called.. we'll have 3-4 penalties per game...
soft penalty, but well within the rules to be called a penalty

what pisses me off is the way De Rossi reacts....

he's getting pulled backwards.. yet he flops in a forward motion...

a draw could be sufficient if Paraguay beats the kiwis

Paraguay will be much harder for NZ than Italy tonight as they are in goalscoring form unlike Italy and they need atleast a draw to secure top and avoid Holland so very unlikey for NZ

Iaquinta provided nothing, and created nothing all game.

Had some open headers off set pieces, yet couldn't the target. Maybe keep him only because he offers something off set pieces.

Di Natale needs to start next game.

Marchisio to bench and Pirlo in.

Monotlivo was good, apart from some wayward corners.

Camoronesi needs to play too. He was good today. Pepe was no very effective.

Nah they wont be like England will be... they undrstand you cant win them all, Not many win back to back
The same ones that understood so well when they pelted their own team with tomatoes after 1966?

Or issued death threats against the poor Korean bastard who scored against them in 2002?

they draw it out of a hat then (apparently randomly)..

We'll just have to rely on Slovakian victory then :thumbsu:

If it's a 0-0 draw between NZ and Paraguay then I'm pretty sure Italy go through... if it's 1-1 and they're level on goals scored... then I've got no f***ing idea.

some would explain something in a sentence or 2 words or maybe even 1 word...I will explain it in 2 letters.......IQ..........!!!!

what a joke of a performance

piss poor performance, ****ing hell

gilardino must've still had his mind on the groupies.. did absolutely **** all

no idea what happened to the passing game.. everything just looked so slow and inaccurate

then we went aerial toward the end

played better in the first half than in the last

yes nz got their goal by a refereeing mistake, and yes we deserved the penalty (foul was technically there but obviously de rossi made a meal of it), but we didn't deserve the win.. just a piss poor performance

what has become of cannavaro.. one of the greatest defenders in history, partly to blame for the first set piece goal conceded against paraguay, and he was to blame for the set piece goal that nz scored.. you can argue that it shouldn't have been a goal, but italy nor nz didn't realise at the time.. yes what's wrong is wrong but still we played it like no mistake had happened so canna should've done better with clearing it. ****

lippi's a bit of a **** for not choosing giuseppe rossi either.. need someone in the team that can ****ing run with the ball, dribble and try and create something

desperately need pirlo back. sorely missing his passing game

i dunno about iaquinta... he looked better in the first half, he held the ball up better when italy wasn't in 4-3-3 formation

**** i hope pirlo is fit for slovakia

Italy and NZ level on goals now....Italy arent ahead

NZ played pretty well. Shown a lot more than Australia have and further evidence that the A-League has helped their national team progress. Paston was immense in goal and well Smeltz scored the 'controversial' opener.

Oh to have drawn Slovakia in our pool.

We'd have a win under our belt.

They have been awful.
