The problem with Bunnings is trying to find the exact or replica item on a product that is often 20 years old, especially around plumbing components. Most of the help know as much as I do.

I remember in the late 90’s trying to get a thread of a screw to match a broken number plate insert on the car out at Broadmeadows VicRoads.

The guy at the nearby Bunnings used a microscope to marry the threads together so it fit the car perfectly. I doubt it would happen today.

Some of the people there are good... like I said... often the older guys may say "well look,. without playing favorites, I use this in that situation"
Its just some of the newer guys can be "oh that's fine" without the exp or knowledge to back it up..
Agree with that though, that kind of service you used to get from the old hardware stores

Self drilling Tek screw for the win.

Getting my own back for posting a sarcastic post in a hair loss add thread on Facebook. Now every 3rd post is a Hair loss product add [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24].
At least you didn't post in an ED thread!

Why the fk are crumpler bags so expensive lol I just want a cross body bag to carry to uni to put my iPad and a couple pens and books in ugh.
They were never cheap but they were good then they became hipster and got very expensive.

Have got a few stashed away

My day camera bag is a crumpler I've had for probably 15 years - it's had a very tough life and still going strong.

These days they have things to screw into to check the thread matches.

Check out JB HiFi too - have some practical bags under $100 including laptop protection. I'm a fan of STM Goods - nice bags, excellent prices. Might not be the Smiggle style you like but an alternative. Officeworks have some value bags too.

I JUST WANT A MESSENGER BAG
I wouldn't have a clue where mine is or if we donated it to the Salvos (that can magically happen to my stuff and usually I only find out a year later when I start looking for it and "find out").

If I find it (inside a bag, inside a bag, inside a backpack or something, hidden in the garage so it doesn't vaporise off to the Salvos I'll let you know and you can have it).

Don't hold your breath.

How do you buy an album these days?

I used to know. Records, cassettes, CDs. I even had a big collection on Google Music before they folded. I managed to transfer everything to YouTube, but now I hear adds when I try to listen to my own records.

I don't even know how to buy a record at all now. What do you guys use? I don't have an iphone, that seems to be the main online shop.

I manage my own library from mainly ripped cds and the occasional "archived" discography. 😉 .

I also mp3gain all the library to 89db so on random and playlists your not reaching for the volume button constanly.

Any cd you want can generally be found online. Often from the artists own website.
