D5 would prolly even do it, or a 16t excavator, just need some decent chains.

i will get it, problem is there are 2trees close together and the roots are intertangled. will have to dig round the one next to it as well, and pull that one first to be able to get the backhoe close enough to dig more earth up from round the 2nd one. great fun operating a backhoe with 100 flies buzzing round as well.

still waiting for another pully.

Could you get the stump ground out ?
prolly could but i would need to go very deep and they are generally reluctant to go to far under ground level. need to put road base through there as its in the middle of where a proposed drive way is. plus i have a backhoe but not a stump grinder.
