Ok. Installed Taptalk. Ads seem to be blocked. I was not a fan of this app when I last used it but like the thought of Ross Lyons as coach, I might have to just put up with it.

the worst prob with BF on a mobile is that when you go to press some functions an add loads in the same spot and you inadvertedly press it, the cynic in me reckons this is quite deliberate to get click revenue.

I use Tapatalk Pro on my Android phone and no ads ever.
I think it cost me $5 years ago. Money well spent as far as I'm concerned.

i dicked about with it for a bit, it annoyed me, some forums were constantly on and off again on tapptalk and it wanted to update nearly every time i used it, maybe its better now?
Sounds like my experience. I tried it today (free version). Still don't like it. I have an adblorker installed on the phone but Chief, he of unmatched wisdom has obviously worked out how to bypass that. On the computer it isn't a problem for me.
On the phone, that auto-bloody-scroll thiong you mentioned is downright annoying. And on bigfooty and no other sites, I occasionally get a fake google pop-up telling me I am one of 100 "lucky" people who just have to "click here" to claim a prize.
GAGF - Google knows who I am and where I live. If they want me to have a prize it will suddenly appear on my doorstep without me having to click anything. I bet they are monitoring my heartrate, blood oxygen, temperature and everything else about me in real-time anyway. They might end up sending me a pacemaker or a spare tyre for my mobility scooter.
There were a bunch of new inline ads, as well as "pull down" from the top of the phone screen (overlaying BF Menus) and others popping up from the bottom of the screen covering the "post message" button although they seem to have settled down a bit since start of day...
That's a couple of examples.
The normal ads aren't nearly as annoying as these.

Nah, it's still here in my phone.
That ad at the top with the pull down tab is seriously annoying Cheif. It covers the big footy menu hamburger even when it is minimised.
Also, since the new ads were inserted I have been seeing some god-awful redirects to some sham Google prize page. It only occurs when I am in big footy and I have scanned my phone for malware several times over the past two days or so.
It was popping up every few seconds yesterday at around half time in the north vs tigs game. Made it very difficult to like big footy.

It's a Chrome problem. Use a different browser and they will not bother you.
