Ha ha.... imagine, a stolen scissor lift... crazy 'eh?
I have hazy recollections of about 8 of us riding a painters' scaffold down a hill in The Rocks in Sydney - we didn't land the jump at a set of steps though... luckily nobody was hurt. Good times!

In Apple News I saw an amazing home hack where Channel 7 said there is a $1.32 item available in coles and woolies that is a miracle cleaner, powerful enough to get the burned on grime off the bottom of frying pans.

It just so happened that we have a pan that has a bit of that typical brown grime on the bottom so I thought that it's worth a try - especially as we had some of this "Nature's Miracle" cleaning product in the pantry.

The product: Corn Flour (or corn starch as our distant cousins in the US&A might call it).

I applied the paste of corn flour, a bit of water and some palmolive onto the bottom of the pan.

Not a bloody thing happened. It just created a mess that meant more effort was needed to clean the kitchen, and the pan was EXACTLY the same after as it was before.

Now I am really annoyed as Apple News (and Big Footy) is polluted with these Bullsh*t ads for fake products and life hacks, and in my opinion they are incidious - an absolute waste of pixels and they are posted by scum who are equal in my opinion with the call centres who ring up offering LED replacement globes.

Scum.

I don't like them.

And the Google / Apple / Meta / X etc. organisations have the power to clean that kind of crap out but they don't. Which makes them scum as well.

Interesting thing about corn flour, it’s actually wheat ground even finer than usual flour. Not corn.
The word ‘corn’ was used to describe grain crops for thousands of years before Europeans colonized South America.
The Romans had a ‘corn dole’ which was available to all citizens.

The PFJ never mentioned that.

Are there really such things being sold to humans as "grazing boxes"?

What kind of people buy them?

What ever happened to catering for a small gathering by the purchase of a couple of packs of frozen sausage rolls and party pies? Or half a dozen coffee scrolls?
