just dropped in to see my dad at the retirement village on way home from melbourne, , i can report that when it comes to being grumpy old buggers we all need to lift our game, comparatively we cant hold a candle to him. he has a unique gift of being able to redirect the conversation to being a whine fest from whatever jolly subject you segway to.

Damn! I'm now beginning to suspect that Rickety is Spider Burton, both of whom could be Koshari's old man and I'm beginning to doubt whether or not Ligma is really Hojuman's "niece". I have trust issues itr seems.

Hasn't changed much has it?? I haven't even been in it for donkeys, but you just about need Burke and Wills and all their camels to get around the outside of the joint. I grew up in and around North Ringwood, so it's kinda like someone built a McMansion right next door. And my dad lived his whole childhood up on Loughnans Rd - between his stories and mine, my best little mate looks at us like we're deadset barmy. Well, even more so. Anyway, Starbuck was one of those fellas on Battlestar Gallactica :-D

So wikipedia reckons goon comes from the word flagon (flagoon apparently) but there used to be this vineyard near Sunbury called Goonawarra and their 4lt casks were always the cheapest when I worked in bottlo's in the '80s.

Wtf is with ALH pubs and being the worst serviced pubs in all of history? You want a pint with only 1 other customer? Nah, the 12 staff will talk amongst themselves for a good 20 minutes until you lean over the bar and start pouring yourself.

Apparently self service is not part of their licence, "ah ok mate, your convo more important about who you plan to finger bang? Being a Stk loving pub, you lot might be into under age shit too? Get farked campaigner!"

Other patrons had a good laugh.

I know I know punting is a mugs game BUT I put $ on the horse that ran 3rd in the last race at Moonee valley fixed odds, normally it would say NTD if not paying a third dividend but it did pay a third dividend because it was listed as an international pool but only on tote not fixed odds, ****ers didn’t say that when I was putting bet on imo it should have said NTD fixed odds anyway that’s Sanyo
