Don't get me started on bacon.

I don't even bother with it these days. My Canadian family say that bacon is still ok in that country. In Malaysia I have tasted turkey bacon but I couldn't bring myself to eat the beef bacon, even on a pizza.

I suggest you head to WR King at Queen Vic markets for amazing bacon and hams.

The triple smoked leg of ham I picked up for Christmas is stellar.

My Pop worked in a Piggery back in the 50’s through to he died in the mid 70’s
and what they do to Pork would have him spinning in his grave, especially the amount of water pumped into the meat post slaughter to make it last longer

I get that. My father used to do a bit of work such as engine rebuilding (diesel) and one bloke he fixed up a tractor or truck for had a pig farm. He paid by delivering half a pig at Christmas for a couple of years. The bacon was cured and smoked, some of the pork was pickled (not my favourite but the olds liked it). The bacon was unbelievable. These days packaged bacon doesn't even look like meat.

It’s why I grow my own tomatoes this time of the year and in March don’t have to buy the supermarket rubbish, and with a better taste

I don’t grow Pigs sadly

I used to know some people who grew "tomatoes". They looked at me strangely when I asked if they planted the seedlings on cup day.
