It's not the official team yet, just a journo's opinion.

In terms of Grundy it turns out only the once, I also thought it was more.

2012 - Sidebottom (wing), Beams (rover)
2013 - Sidebottom (hbf)
2014 - Witts (ruck), Langdon (bp), Elliott (fp)
2015 - Grundy (ruck), Langdon (i/c)

Treloar made it in 14 and 15 in a GWS jumper.

I cannot believe Grundy is only 22. I'll never forget the shock and excitement in Hines voice when we got him at Pick 18.

With Grundy's progression this year i won't be surprised to see him AA ruck at 23, and 10 years of complete ruck dominance.

Grundy is going to be the best ruckman Collingwood has ever had.

Few holes in his team, however I suggest you get hold of some footage of Hunt going about his business. He and Williams are the clear best dashers off half back eligible for this team and 7 defenders is a must.

I'm sketchy on Daniel ahead the guys you named. He looks a player, but no way would I have him ahead of any of them.

I like the look of Hunt as a player, but yes, that's quite ridiculous.

I've seen plenty of Hunt, he's going to be a good player, his speed is phenomenal.

I wouldn't mention Z.Williams and Hunt in the same breath though.

Hunt 10 games of 14 touches or less while Zac Williams only had 5 games under 20 touches. Hunt just doesn't get enough pill to be worthy of a selection in this squad and thats not a knock on him but a testament to the quality of players available.

Caleb Daniel will either win or come runner up in the rising star. His decision making is elite and is influencing games of footy in a quality team.

Let it go. All those could have beens.
We almost had Aish back then, we have him now. And how many clubs cringe that they didn't choose Grundy.
In the end everyone gets a star player except GWS that always get 3.

But yes, given the circumstances I too am still dirty on the Dogs for snatching him from our grasp.

Was shocked he was still there at our pick.

Still remember how giddy Hine was reading out his name.

Sorry but Hunt is a Monty for this side, absolute jet and will only get better! The two players I really wanted and easily could have been Pies were 2MP and or Lever.

You're right with Wright but we couldn't have taken Lever and Wright unless we passed on Darcy Moore. Lever went at 14 that year coming off a knee reco and taking him at 5 would have a masterstroke in hindsight but a stretch at the time.

I think De Goey will be a very good player and has shown glimpses of some form the last two weeks but I am a fan of taking good young talls early and Wright or Marchbank would have been handy for us now.
