As I understand chief has a family health issue being dealt with so it might be slightly slower than normal in relation to timelines.

The news is the memberships allocated for the sponsorship are gold which do not remove ads. Platinum memberships (which can be purchased) remove ads.

We have had a couple of vacancies arise for the sponsors training session. Details:

Sunday 8th July

· 9am – 12pm

· GMHBA Stadium, meet at Charles and Co Cafe

· 9am – 10.30am training clinic on GMHAB Stadium with Geelong Cats players

· From 11am morning tea in the players’ garden*

Just finished up a good morning at the club’s sponsor’s even with Willo_ and ChookNorris.

Event was attended by eight senior players - Taylor, Blicavs, Menegola, Parfitt, Tuohy, Kelly, Fogarty and Henry. They were all very approachable and happy to answer questions and pose for photos.

Started out by heading out onto the hallowed turf where Taylor, Tuohy and Blitz talked us through their Thursday night experiences. Blitz gave some insights into his planning for Buddy. Tuohy spoke of the team’s focus on winning ground balls in defence. Harry said his foot is sore and he is managing it.

Then we broke out into groups for some skills sessions. Blitz, Henry and Tuohy took some marking drills. Menegola and Parfitt tool goalkicking and the rest took kicking.

From there we headed inside for morning tea and a viewing of the players facilities - lounge etc. More Q&A with Menegola and Kelly. Menegola is a fitness freak who they have to hold back from extra training. Kelly is very chilled and spoke of the crazy times being drafted while expecting twins but said it has been great and they are settling in well.

All in all a great morning. Thanks to the sponsors for making it happen.
