Kotaku notes that the PS3 has occasional FR issues the 360 doesn't. Higher native rez, AA, and better framerate does matter in that the 360 is a graphically superior machine, with more grunt. The PS3 has nice upscale blurriness applied, whether that's better is a matter of opinion.

Oh, and you own both do you? You, or your brother? Are you the 100%? Because that counts for nada.
 
Ahhh the joys of being of work injured.

Just had an all out brawl in the street before was awesome. I pushed this guy into another guy and they started punching each other up. A cop car come screaming up, grabbed one dude and chucked him in his car, and the other one pulled a gun and started shooting. 2 more cop cars come screaming up and a coupla other dudes pulled guns and shit was going everywhere so I hid behind a bin, waited until everything calmed down and collected some automatics of the ground, grabbed a cop car and piss bolted.

How funny is that, when your in a cop car you can radio for backup.
 
i done the same thing, then called 911 a few times to get some cop cars come and kill everyone.

then i take the cop cars.

You guys already have about 10 threads that have the same content displayed over and over again. Feel free to start a new one aswell if you like but can we just leave this thread to things that contain only stuff related to GT4.


oh and yes I did post a link stating that some people were having the same problem (freezing) with the 360.

And HBK I would assume that the 2 second freeze may just be the game "loading" / catching up with you. From the sounds of things it is a massive ____ing game.

I'm sure I haven't even scatched the surface and in time I'm sure I'll love it. I've completed about 4-5 missions and explored a bit. On first impression it didn't blow me away like I expected, that's all. I'm not saying it's a bad game. I do appreciate the European feel as opposed to the African American lunacy of GTASA.

I appreciate Condemned because it's a different concept, something that's extremely rare in the industry.

I was roaming the steets after midnight and walked into the middle of a group, most got pissed off and walked away while one of them stayed there and i stared him off, after abut 20 seconds he was trying to fight me, so awesome :D
 
Well me and two other mates bought this yesterday... the thing that sucked the most was the fact I bought it at lunch time and had to wait until I finished work before I could play it!

We thrashed the guts out of it last night but only did a few missions.. there was plenty of time spent stealing cars and killing people.. love how you go flying through the windscreen if you have a big crash.. people in other cars do the same. This is a ____ing amazing game.
 
Anybody order from Play-asia? Im still waiting patiently for my copy to arrive. Playing Mario Kart online on the Wii is easing the pain though.

so here is the story. i come home after work and saw that a gamestop bag was on the kitchen counter. so i opened it and saw GTA4 in there. i pulled it out and it was the 360 version. i nearly put my head through a wall. my mom picked it up for me when i was at school and i thought i was going to come home and relax and play GTA4.

So here is the twist:

my mom comes home and i tell her that i have a **** ps3. so i start cursing, dropping all kinds of F bombs. then she tells my dad and then **** really hits the fan. i call gamestop and tell them what had happened and they say that i can come by and pick it up tomorrow. after i get off the phone with them my dad comes in my room and rips my ps3 out of the wall. yeah.... he broke it. so as it turns out i have to buy a new ps3 and GTA4. so i have to stare at that game for a long time now.

The moral of the story:

i now have no ps3 and no GTA4 to play. my day went from getting my hopes up to play GTA4 to my ps3 getting ripped out of my wall. if you have worse luck than me, please do not be afraid to share.

Absolutely laughed my arse off. What a spoiled brat!

I love this game, I guess Mario Kart Wii didn't keep my attention for too long :)

I had a funny incident where a taxi ran over a pimp, the pimp got up, pulled the cabbie out of the car and bashed him. Next thing a cop appears and leads the pimp away on foot.

What i really love is pushing X when a cop arrests you, and you make a break for it, got me outta some serious trouble.
 
I'm holding out till next week it seems till i get mine from Play-Asia. Arrrgh its hard but i'll survive.
 
So I am the only one slightly dissapointed then? Played it for two days and it is yet to super impress me. It's good fun but it seems like a next gen GTA SA to me. Hopefully as I progress the games greatness will reveal itself.

Multiplayer sucks arse! Unless you're going to be playing with mates I can't see it being that much fun as peeps just run around and do there own thing, turning it into a shamozzle (technical term)

This games depiction of women is so realistic.

Just to impress Michelle i go out and buy a classy suit for 1000 bucks and take my luxury yellow sports car over to pick her up when she comments that she thinks my suit is rubbish and my loafers look "weird". I then proceed to drive her all the way across town whilst she bitches about my driving when im barely even going 200 clicks along the freeway. We arrive at the comedy club where she disapproves of Katt Williams Liberty City routine. Trying to keep the night alive i then decide to head for the pool hall before she tell's me that she's really bored and wants me to take her home!

After all that I still managed to score with her at the end of the night so i guess it wasn't all bad

Hope so, it didn't go to a loading screen or anything, at first I thought it might be a heavy framerate drop, but it does freeze up for a second or 2, I am not worried though, I don't care if I have to delete the data, this game is so good I would be willing to play it over and over again.

That has been censcored(sp?), you will find them mostly at night, I found one near a bridge to another city, I pulled up honked the horn and she got in, went to a secluded spot and we got it on, what has been edited though, as I can tell from YouTube Videos is the possibility to choose your pleasure and also you cannot move the camera around the car to get an all over look, it just situates the camera on the bumper and thats about it.

If you fly a chopper towards the Statue of Happiness and bail near the top level, you can enter the statue, climb a ladder and find a beating heart churning away. It's chained up and emitting an eerie hum too, giving it a macabre Hellraiser feel. Fire a rocket up there and you'll bag a pigeon.
 
So any word on what has been officially cut from that Oz version? Still deciding on whether to get any oversees version or not?
