There are a lot of Aussie game developers... I got a shock when i heard Phrase (melb hip hop) on the Scarface soundtrack...

Hailing a cab is a nightmare.

I had one the other day where, following a vigilante mission (Gang activity) and largely coming acropper after both the gang members and a few attending cops shot me up, I had just managed to outrun my 2-star wanted level when I saw a cab.

Intending to go straight to a safehouse to save and return to full health I ran up holding Y and for some reason pulled the cabbie out of his seat and started giving him a seeing to - for which the two cops in the car behind him got out and blew me away when I tried to run.

A pox on cabs, a pox I say!

If anyone is still interested, someone did a comparison of the censored and un-censored versions and apparently we only missed out on three minor things.

-Street hooker interaction
-Dead pedestrians leave blood pools
-And player and pedestrians accumulate bruises/blood patches when you hit them

So much for all the talk about decapitations and missions being cut out etc.

Any 360 users want to friend up and have a BF GTA session? Do a free mode and screw around a bit. Shoot the back tires of NRGs and try and have a race on just rims (it's really hard ).

I want to do some proper city wide pursuits against people, it's too easy to outrun the cops.

Wasn't sure if he meant he just got out of the radius, or if it had completely disappeared. If you're out of the radius but the level is still there, you can't hail cabs.

Listening to the Half Life 2 commentary on the Orange Box version there are a number of Aussies that work/ed on that.

There are also numerous Australian references in GTA IV as well, most of them relate to the Radio, but some are very slight and subtle and you would only get it if your Australian.

Hysterical shit! There's a reference in Vice City on one of the Ammu-Nation ads where the voiceover bloke goes on about anti-tank missiles or something that 'were actually used when we whooped Australia's ass!'

I'd just lost the wanted level wholesale, when I held Y and homed in on the driver it felt very much like when you go into cover and you end up aiming everywhere but where you intended. Glitchy.

Frustrating. It's not as if you get cutaway scenes of Anal ____z VIII or Saw, but at least the kids of Australia are safe!

sorry for bein a noob ive just set it up, loaded up the game and gone to multiplayer on the phone and it does nothing, tells me to try again at another time.... why??

A few options will be that you are trying to connect too early, wait a few minutes and let the game connect to a server, another is that the server is down, in which you will just have to wait until it is back up, other than that maybe your internet isn't connected.

Well, on the television there's a cartoon show about American soldiers fighting interspace and liberating planets and what not.

All the soldiers are dressed like Master Chief, and their is shaped like a huge penis, and it actually flys through the halo-planet-thingo at one point.

I mean, they didn't need to blatantly pay out on Halo's plot or anything, because it does a good enough job of that itself, but yeah, they were mocking Halo with that.

On the radio they're constantly paying out on Microsoft products like Powerpoint via some mock ads, pretty funny stuff.
