I'm going in to Pre-Order it tommorow.

Going into JB Hi-Fi as you get a Free GTA IV License Plate with the pre order.:thumbsu:

really excited about this game.

multiplayer sounds wicked. i can just tell i am going to spend hours on end playing this game no doubt.

On a preview of the game(A couple of guys playing the game for 2 hours), it seems to be really realistic, the cops AI is really good, it will be friggen hard to escape them, unlike in the past GTA's.

Don't know whether this is a good thing or bad thing, depending on how good the coppers are this could actually be a ruining point for me.
 
Personlly I think that is good. On SA it was way too easy to lose the feds, just grab a fast car and drive on the highway until you are near the Pay N Spray.
 
You'd want the cops to have the ability to be hard but you wouldn't want every single hit and run for cash to turn into a jail visit.

I'd also like a surrender button and perhaps some benefit of that. Perhaps you don't lose all of your weapons in jail or something. It always seemed a bit silly that every fight had to go to the death.

Still a month away mate, and that's barring delays. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was delayed for a week or 2 after that. Seems the norm these days unfortunately. Release dates seem to be guides only
 
Haha Mancey, exactly what I was thinking. A release tomorrow would be awesome.

Hopefully it doesn't get delayed but it probably will, that's why I don't really count down the days anymore... when it's out, it's out and I will buy it. I don't cry myself to sleep because the game wasn't out when it was supposed to be out (anymore).
 
It's already been delayed since October, I doubt they'd delay it again, they'd better not I've already taken that day off in anticipation! (plus it's my birthday and what a great present this'll be :D)

No figures as of yet that I can find. Halo 3 is the current record holder with 4 million pre orders, and $US300million worth of copies sold in the first week of sales. It scored the biggest opening day gross of any entertainment product in history

It'll give it a shake considering its a dual console release, but it'd still be a massive effort.
 
Can't see it being delayed.... There would be riots ala GTA :D

Rockstar have been pushing April 29 pretty hard and can't see them pushing it back now. The launch party is in Sydney on April 22nd. All signs point towards it being on time.

I don't think they would have announced a date if they were not 100% that they would hit it.

Will be a massive retail day

Halo 3 won another record too, most returned game of all time.

I'm pretty confident GTA4 won't rival it for THAT record at least. :)
 
Yeah I'm with you HBK, I reckon they'll be a prick... I hope they bring the characters from San Andreas into the game... Perhaps Nikko makes a trip to San Andreas to make a hit, then you see CJ and Cesar make a cameo..

That'd be great!!

I'm sure the people at bungie are just heartbroken about your dislike of Halo 3 rj, as they recline on their beds of $100 bills.

Its still on the throne for now mate, :D

Just goes to show hype and marketing are more important than game design or quality.

Yes, because you can sell 10 million copies of a game, and keep people playing it for 6 months just with hype and marketing.

Not to mention the fact it is the mainstay game of MLG now, because professional gamers only play poor quality, poorly designed games right?

We all know your views on halo rick, can we go back to talking about GTA4 now.

Anyone seen the latest trailer. There's one part where you see nico shotgun a bloke, and he goes flying down some stairs in a very realistic manner. I wonder if this is the new physics engine in motion
 
i think the graphics look great. just remember that its the gameplay that counts. well for me anyway.

Yeah, that is the Euphoria engine. You also see it in action when the vehicle blows up and the body flies out with limbs flailing. Looks great.
