I'm heading down the shops at midnight tonight to get a copy. Not sure if I'll work or not tomorrow - I am actually genuinely sick as a dog, but I will feel kind of guilty if I buy this game then miss work.

On the other hand, f%^& work.

I'm in two minds.

Yeah, I got really sick today too. Is that a sign?

Shame I have a compulsory prac tomorrow so I wont be able to get and play until 6PM, but after that I will play until my eyes bleed.

i am planning on buying GTA IV but i don't have a Ps3 or XBOX 360 yet...



i no PS3 has better graphics (i think) but xbox is cheaper??

what do you suggest i get?
 
damn, i was just reading the wiki page, and all the character bios are up including a whole bunch of spoilers. I have basically ruined the plot for myself 9 times over.

I've got both and recommend a PS3, especially if you're buying the console primarily to play GTA4.

The PS3 version of GTA4 is said to be substantially better graphically. Also, you can get a PS3 + GTA4 bundle for $750.

As a piece of hardware the PS3 is just simply better, more reliable and will be a relevant console for ten years, whereas I couldn't see the 360 lasting much longer than another two and a half, maybe three years before Microsoft replace it.

both versions cost the same price, $84.95 at JB HiFi.
The PS3 version has better graphics and quicker load times. The xbox 360 version has exclusive DLC coming soon.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to KP Mo, he's a bit free with the truth, if you know what I mean.

Have a look at the games libraries, and you'll see PS3 doesn't compare when it comes to quality games.

Its bloody uncanny, i have a crap head cold as well.

Its almost as if a higher power wants us to play this game, and who am i to go against the big mans will:thumbsu:

Mo, its basically up to you mate. Both are awesome systems, and there is very little between the 2 versions of GTA. Maybe look at the other games available as exclusives on each console, and make your decision based on that.

I've got a 360 and love it.

I to have recieved a sign to stay home and play gta. I have torn my quad in my right leg and have received some pretty brutal bruising on the other, making it very hard to walk. Maybe this is a sign i should stay home, sit down and play GTA :D

My sign is that tuesday is my only day off work this week.....:D

Man, midnight sales are quite the experience.

Crazy stuff.

It was like apartheid in there.

They had us segregated along PS3 and Xbox lines, and **** there was some huge sledging happening.

Just glad I made it out. Don't expect to see me around here for a few weeks:D

While GTA IV is pushing the PS3 and 360 to the limit, it also runs amazingly well. That a game with great AI, an awesome physics engine and a detailed open world runs so well and with such short load times is a technical marvel. For those wanting to know which version looks better, the edge goes to the PS3. The textures and framerate are comparable, but the PS3 has far less pop-in. The 360 has richer colors, but the PS3 has better anti-aliasing making it look a little cleaner. Because GTA IV can preload onto the PS3 hard drive, the in-game loads are faster. Don't worry Xbox owners, the load times are rarely more than 30 seconds and don't occur very often. The slight visual edge goes to PS3, but the 360 is no slouch. Either version will do you proud.

Though really overall not much of a difference.
