Mum wants to know if there is a way to cut out the swearing in game. It seems everything else is ok, but if the language is too bad, it looks like i'll be playing on 1 volume lol
does your mum know about the prostitutes and strippers?

My xbox just froze after I finished a mission
where I had to get the storage device for the cop
, it wasn't even a black screen, it just froze up at the point where money was being added to my account for finishing the mission. Not happy, have tto do the ____er agian now... Luckily its pretty darn easy.

Just did the mission where... ---> highlight (spoilers)
You have to go to the Old Hospital and get the drugs then get away from the 3-star police. For three stars, it is a lot harder than I thought it'd be. And what a bitch of Michelle to be a cop, even though we all suspected it.

Yeah that one took me a few goes, used grenades to maximum effect.

When did you guys place your order??
I ordered on the 19th and it's still saying preparing order and the ETA is no longer there. It was saying the 2nd but its gone now. Not a good sign...:(

I ordered mine on the 2nd of april.

I think theres another batch coming in after this lot and theyre doing it on a first ordered, first serve basis.

Been pretty annoying though.

firstly, i love the game, utterly brilliant. But i have a few problems. I have it on 360 and i have been getting constant freezes (about once every 3 or so hours) that never end and i am forced to reset and lose my save data. Secondly, my 360 has left a deep circular scratch on the disc accompanied by a shallower, lighter scratch on the inside of the deeper scratch. After hearing horror stories of people losing their whole collection of games to an emo 360 i would appreciate any advice.

Dont use your 360 untill its fixed as microsoft wont be liable for damaged disks.

dont play any games on it, i had this problem aswell. you need to get your xbox repaired and take the game back and get it replaced.

Incredible, considering their machine damaged the disc:)

You gotta love microsoft:thumbsu:

Either way both next gen console owners are copping it in the arse with GTA4.

Love this game, love it!

Was just going for a stroll down the street, when all of a sudden this perp is giving the local cops a bit of trouble. I sit back and watch as the pigs get out of their cop car and put the perp in hancuffs and in the back seat of the cop car. I decided that now would be a good time to jump in the driver seat and take off at high speed. All the time the perp is in the back seat wailing 'why me?'.

Couldn't stop laughing, and the perp ended up throwing himself out of the car after about two minutes of high speed chases.

Only thing that is pissing me off is that I play a couple of hours earning money in multiplayer and sometimes the loading screen freezes and I have to reset and lose all my hard earned dosh.

I would be a rank 3 by now if that didn't happen.

Otherwise I am a very happy anti-social hermit this weekend.

I had a little play at a mate's house tonight. I don't have any consoles that's all I have until it comes on PC. I found the physics to be superb in certain areas and I suppose its the important areas. Other bits have been left out which is a tad annoying but not overly important (like a Hummer not even denting a lifesaver's chair on the bench).

Auto aim is good except in massive street fights. It's very hard to choose whom you're shooting and you often find yourself shooting at pedestrians instead of cops. That won't be an issue on PC with the mouse or the 1337s who use manual aim all the time on consoles.

Cars are very hard to control but I suppose that makes them more realistic. It was stupidly easy in San Andreas to drive.

How does this happen? I've never had a scratch. Are you moving your xbox around while playing a game? Are you ejecting the disc at the wrong time?

Unfortunately it just happens. The scratch is always within an inch of the inner part of the disc surface (read side of the disc). Its a perfect circle as well, like you have used a compass to draw it.

I had bio shock ruined by this. All my other 360 games have the scratch but the games still work (some of them intermittently). When Bioshock became a coaster I didn't renew my XBL and got a ps3. Now the 360 is chipped and I torrent my games so I don't waste money on something that will get scratched and could become unusable (like bio shock).

Microsoft don't want to know about the problem because the console is over 12 months old

Suprised you haven't heard of it before because its been pretty widely reported. With that said you seem to be sweet so its all good for you.

If you're willing to void your warranty there is a pretty easy mod where you take out your optical drive and glue foam pads to the problem areas. But your best bet is to make sure the unit is lying flat and is somewhere where it won't get shifted around as the slightest movement can cause the disk to wobble and scratch against the laser.

Problem is, to avoid the RROD issues you're meant to have your 360 standing upright, to avoid the scratches you need it flat. It's pretty pathetic.

My brothers 360 copy of GTA4 has been getting scratched badly, but it still works. My PS3 version has been completely fine the whole time, and I've had stretches of 12+ hours of playing it.

It sounds like both consoles are having issues.

That sounds pretty shit, I am thinking of getting a 360(It will be free in conjunction with a mobile plan), so are the newer models still susceptable to this happening?

They apparently aren't' susceptible to the RROD issues, but are still likely to cause scratches.

So basically I wouldn't be allowed to touch it, move it, stand it up or lie it down while it's on and has a game in it?

I never got a scratch and it has been vertical and horizontal.

Then again I dont move my 360 when it is turned on.

My brother doesn't move his at all, yet now when he loads GTA4 up it crashes after about 3 minutes due to the huge scratches on the disc. Simply not moving the console when it's on doesn't mean you won't get scratches.
