When I end up getting my own personal copy (as opposed to my brothers) for 360 I'll be importing it, when you bang prossies you can rotate the camera angle and watch them boof you. That's worth paying 50 dollars LESS for imo.

New York City is a very dark place in real life. There are alleys that stay basically pitch black for 24 hours a day.

At least, that's the excuse I'd use if I was working for Rockstar. . .

Just recently visted NYC and it's nothing like that at all.

Alright... I've got a ____ed up issue here. :mad:

I did the mission with Packie where you go to the docks, climbe the roof, then steal the truck. In fact, last time I did it I was sure I'd completed it already, I'd even seen the final cut scene where the guy pays you and says he will be in touch but I shrugged it off (I smoke a lot of weed, I'm used to not trusting my short term memory ;)).

Then, later, I did the mission where you go to rob the Italians with a bunch of Packies boys, I died because I flung a grenade to close to myself and then put the mission off while I did some other crap. Now I've gone back to Packie and it starts that freaking truck mission again!!!

Like WTF?!?

Has anyone heard of this happening before??? It's obviously something ____ing up with the auto-save, which went funny not long after I started playing- instead of just saving it would pop up a screen asking whether I wanted to over-write the previous auto save file, like it does when you save at your crib. Do you think it's a game error or something to do with my xbox??? I'm not ____ing happy, believe you me!
 
Now it's happening on the Francis missions too...
I have to do the mission where you kill the guy in the high-rise projects again

This is truly ____ed up... I'm so pissed-off right now :mad:

Cannot connect to my Ps3, i plug in the ethernet? cable from my cable modem and it says its been timed out and cannot find a IP address?

Can anyone help? I don't know if there is some blocking going on from my modem because my mate does the excact same thing but his works?

Is there anyone i can contact to solve this problem?

Help would be greatly needed:thumbsu:

you need to connect it to a router.

As I said, I finished one mission, died on the next one, then it took me back to the first mission that I'd already completed... So, yeah, it DID save, now it's laoding an older save... It's ____ed up.
 
a router is a thing that networks your main computer to other computers around the house. all electronic stores like jb harvey norman etc. will have them but they are like 100 buks. if you have computers in other rooms that have access to the internet then you will have one

How good is this game only played the first few missions (if you could call them missions) haven't got a gun yet but the graphics and that are awesome.

Can you pick up objects (xbox 360) just in the st's or only in certain missions eg. pick a brick and throw it through the asians window??

oh ok..so i need a router to play online if i only have the one computer?

Don't you have to go back to your house to save it? I don't think it's on auto-save, but I could be wrong.

Nah, I even get a screen that pops up after every mission asking if I want to overwrite the last autosave file...

I've had it. There is no way I am starting the game again and I'm not going to keep doing the same missions ad nauseum, GTA4 can suck my balls. It's nowhere near as good as San Andreas at any rate. ____ rockstar :mad:

It is likely your cable modem has a router; it however only has one ethernet port. If you want to use multiple wired devices on your LAN you will need either an ethernet hub/switch (cheaper - but inefficient) or a router with more ethernet ports.

However, if you only want to use one device at a time you simply need to plug your ethernet cable into your PS3 and power cycle your modem (turn it off at the wall, wait a few seconds then turn it back on): many cable ISPs limit the number of ethernet addresses associated with your network bridge (connection) to one.

I have the PS3 Version and it hasn't happened on mine, although I turned auto save off early on in the game.

My house mate has the Xbox and had the same problem you are having. Just turn your auto save off and you should be fine. Keep playing mate, it only gets better after the Packie truck mission.

I loved San Andreas aswell, and in some aspects GTAIV doesn't measure up, but in others it kicks arse. You will get that with any sequel.

I would assume so... all other GTAs included the side things as their game completeness percentage, when you finished all the missions in SA without anything else it was only 49% or so. The bank mission is pretty cool, I just used an insane amount of grenades and it was all good though.
