Anyone else given up on Australia's traditional media? Thoughts about how it's going?

It's now my number one media site to go to online, taken over from The Age.

Bringing a bit of balance to the debate, I really like it. *sips latte*

Yeah, it's pretty good, but there's always been some pretence in the English version – it's seeping through, too. It is a lot more interesting than the shite in the mainstream, and the quality of writing is an inch above. Liking it, just waiting for them to roll out the AU culture section.

Struggling to find a reason to add it to my rotation. Locally-written coverage is limited. Opinion pieces in the Fairfax press usually cover similar ground and are better written.

Any new player in the market is a good one though. Perhaps it will improve.
