In your opinion who will have the better season for you guys this season?

Im assuming both will play a kind of Midfield/Forward type role this season?

I think Guerra will play off the back flank/midfield to start with, and get thrown into the forward line on occasions.

Dixon will be used off the half foward line, with stints in defence.

I think Dixon will give his usual 20-40 goals without being spectacular, and Guerra hopefully will give us a bit of run and skill off the backline.

I doubt either will have great seasons, but hopefully both add a bit on each line.

To answer your question I think Guerra will add more as he is a new face and offers skills and precision from defence. I think we all know what Dicko can do, and just his usual couple of goals here and there will be all that is expected from him.

Both add mature bodies around the ball, and protection of the younger players.

I asked the question as i am after a Midfield/Forward type player who gets a decent amount of possesions and also a few goals for a AFL Forum Manager game on another forum and i cant think of anyone else better that is available and wanted to know who.

SO the question is would you take Guerra or Dixon?

Guerra to get more of the ball, Dixon to kick more goals... don't know if that helps.

I'm expecting Guerra to play mainly out of defence this season.

I'm also hoping that Dixon will kick 50+ goals...

i know we need Guerra's footskills in the back pocket but i'd really like to see him pinch hit in the forward line the way he did at StKilda. His tackling pressure, crumbing, football brain and accurate kick / passing could do some real damage.

I think he'd be a better player in the forward pocket than Dixon. Dixon can lead / mark and get 10 possies per game and 1 goal. thats it. doesnt throw his weight around, doesn't tackle hard, doesn't keep the footy in the forward line and goes missing.

What's the point in playing Dixon there when he wont be there in a yr or so. Play Guerra forward, Dixon at Box Hill and give someone else a go in the back pocket. that my view anyhow.

Aagh, but Dixon can kick that all important pressure goal after the final siren!

About the only thing he has done in the past 4 years!
Seriously though, has anyone ever seen a player that looks so uninterested most of the time he is on the field? There was once upon a time that we thought that Dicko was the next goal kicking machine. He could take a big mark, kick goals and throw his weight around.
These days he is just our version of Lance Whitnall. Slow, lazy, uninterested and happy to pick up his pay check. Atleast big Lance plays a blinder a few times a season!
