Old Boys must've given us sleeping pills

We slept in way too late and missed the entire first quarter

Coming up against a new expansion team we were ready to give them a big kick up the old platter and teach them a thing or two about how good qooty teams really play. But we arrived 30 minutes late and by then the game was already over.

Barrybran kept us in touch early on, kicking the first 2 goals for our team, but by that point it was already midway through the second quarter. It was 7 goals to zero at quarter time, but we managed to do ok after that with 13 goals to 13 to finish the game. A big last quarter push where we kicked 7 goals to 3 helped us save some percentage that we may need later on in the season.

Falconista let Bonz score 8 goals on him, but no one can hold back that big pussy(cat), so I don't blame him. I blame the sim and I hope it will not repeat this result next weekend.

CatToTheFuture had a fantastic game in the ruck for the first time, breaking the DT ton with 14 hitouts, 23 disposals and 4 magnificent goals
GWS Goose and myself combined for 20 tackles as followers
The midfield of Brick Loosener beez and Rodney Dangerfield all got over 20 disposals and 5 marks each
Sky had a great game at half-forward with 20 disposals and 2 goals
The Foolback did well on the half-back flank with 17 disposals and 4 marks. rye also did well in their first game on the opposite flank with 13 disposals and 3 marks.
Catsnlakers also played well in their first game for the Gumbies with 21 disposals and 3 marks
NSWCROW moved into the forward line mid-game and kicked a goal to go along with 13 disposals and 7 marks

The sim didn't like us this game that was for sure, but these players got hurt the most by our on-field coach:

bone2468 only 40% time on ground
ossie_21 only 49% time on ground
Supercheapgiants only 69% time on ground

It just wasn't our day. Good news is we have a new match this week against Coney Island Warriors to right our wrongs. It's at home this time, so let's give the crowd something to cheer about and get a win.

Posting wise, we had a solid week round one. 11 posters hit the ten post mark and 17 Gumbies made an appearance which is pleasing. Hopefully we can maintain or even exceed both numbers this week. We smashed the Warriors all over the ground

After a disappointing first round loss, we got back on the horse and took it to the Warriors right where it hurts. A big first quarter got us out of the blocks fast with Barrybran kicking the first goal at the 4 minute mark. Sky kicked one shortly after, then Baz kicked another, then ossie_21 got involved, and Catsnlakers also snagged one. At quarter time we were already looking like gods compared to these Coney Islanders.

Another 5 goal quarter in the second and the game was already over, but we didn't stop there. We piled on another 12 goals in the 2nd half with pretty much everyone on our team getting involved. It was an all-round great team win, achieving a victory of 89 points, and putting us on a good percentage for the season.

beez Brick Loosener and Rodney Dangerfield dominated in the middle of the ground, combining for a whopping 350 DT from 90 disposals (ave 30 each) and 6 goals (ave 2 each). Truly one of the best centre lines in the league ever.
Barrybran kicked 7 goals to finally start a full forward season well. Currently 3rd in the FRED medal.
CatToTheFuture got pushed out of the ruck spot early in the game, but still managed to get 32 disposals in a great performance
Catsnlakers was our highest DT scoring forward on the half-forward flank with 84 DT points from 22 disposals, 7 marks, and 2 goals
Falconista bounced back this week after giving up 8 goals last week. Managed to keep Dinsdale to just 1 goal for the whole game.
ossie_21 had one of his best games in the forward pocket with 3 goals from 3 kicks
Our defender rookies, The Foolback and rye combined off half-back with 34 disposals (17 disposals each)

Our on-field coach was slightly better this week, but still made some terrible errors with game-time:

NSWCROW only managed to get 3% time on ground. This must be incredibly close to the lowest TOG record for the league.
BlueE had 30% time on ground
Barrybran only got 69% time on ground, because for some reason the coach doesn't like Baz kicking too many goals.

The massive percentage boosting win helps us climb into 6th on the ladder

We had some fun in the rain

After last weeks brilliant performance, we were determined to back it up with another win and we did just that. We started on the right foot with 2 goals in the first 10 minutes, but let the Bears back in by quarter time. We kicked 3 goals to 1 in the second quarter to put ourselves in front by a comfortable margin in the wet. Slowed down a little in the third, but then turned on the afterburners in the 4th quarter to blitz home 4 goals to zero to run away as 35 point victors.

beez had another great game to put himself on top of the best DT performers so far this season. Finished with 22 disposals, 9 marks and 3 goals.
Barrybran is in hot goal-kicking form this season, snagging 6 big ones and is now 2nd in the FRED medal
We only had 4 goal-kickers this game with ossie_21 and GWS Goose also getting one each in the rain
Our defenders stood up tall in the wet, with Falconista grabbing 6 marks along with 16 disposals, The Foolback netting 9 marks with 11 disposals, StFly clunking 5 marks with 13 disposals, and rye giving off 18 disposals and grabbing 2 marks
The wingmen, Brick Loosener and Rodney Dangerfield were handball happy this game with 16 and 12 handballs respectively
I found most of the ball with 26 disposals, putting myself first in the league for disposals this season. We have 4 of the top 5 disposal players this season with Brick Loosener in 2nd, CatToTheFuture in 4th, and beez in 5th
It was a tough day at the office to be a ruckman, but CatToTheFuture still did well with 10 hiitouts and 20 disposals

Our time on ground numbers show once again that our on-field coach has it out for some players:

BlueE had only 33% ToG (after only 30% last week)
NSWCROW had only 38% ToG (up slightly from 3% last week)
miggs only had 61% ToG

We move into the top 4 on percentage. On track for yet another straight set finish to the season

We smashed the Warriors all over the ground

After a disappointing first round loss, we got back on the horse and took it to the Warriors right where it hurts. A big first quarter got us out of the blocks fast with Barrybran kicking the first goal at the 4 minute mark. Sky kicked one shortly after, then Baz kicked another, then ossie_21 got involved, and Catsnlakers also snagged one. At quarter time we were already looking like gods compared to these Coney Islanders.

Another 5 goal quarter in the second and the game was already over, but we didn't stop there. We piled on another 12 goals in the 2nd half with pretty much everyone on our team getting involved. It was an all-round great team win, achieving a victory of 89 points, and putting us on a good percentage for the season.

beez Brick Loosener and Rodney Dangerfield dominated in the middle of the ground, combining for a whopping 350 DT from 90 disposals (ave 30 each) and 6 goals (ave 2 each). Truly one of the best centre lines in the league ever.

Barrybran kicked 7 goals to finally start a full forward season well. Currently 3rd in the FRED medal.

CatToTheFuture got pushed out of the ruck spot early in the game, but still managed to get 32 disposals in a great performance

Catsnlakers was our highest DT scoring forward on the half-forward flank with 84 DT points from 22 disposals, 7 marks, and 2 goals

Falconista bounced back this week after giving up 8 goals last week. Managed to keep Dinsdale to just 1 goal for the whole game.

ossie_21 had one of his best games in the forward pocket with 3 goals from 3 kicks

Our defender rookies, The Foolback and rye combined off half-back with 34 disposals (17 disposals each)

Our on-field coach was slightly better this week, but still made some terrible errors with game-time:

NSWCROW only managed to get 3% time on ground. This must be incredibly close to the lowest TOG record for the league.

BlueE had 30% time on ground

Barrybran only got 69% time on ground, because for some reason the coach doesn't like Baz kicking too many goals.

The massive percentage boosting win helps us climb into 6th on the ladder
