We are on top of the world
We travelled to Abdu Prison in the hopes of keeping our spot on top of the ladder just before our own bye week came knocking. We needed to win for multiple reasons, but the most important one was for Baz's 150th. We jumped out of the gates strong with 7 goals to 2 in the first quarter. Barrybran got 4 of those in the first quarter, setting the tone for the game. We kept up the pressure in the second quarter, kicking 5 goals to 4 and going into half-time 37 points up.
We knew our second halves haven't been the best of late, so we stayed focused on running out the game and that's exactly what we did. 4 goals to 1 in the third all but confirmed our victory. We won by 37 points and put ourselves a game and percentage clear on top of the ladder.

Kicking 11 goals and 2 behinds from just 13 kicks is brilliant accuracy. The FRED medal in there for the taking if Baz can keep this form up in the final 2 weeks of the season.
- GWS Goose played one of his best games this season with a team high 23 disposals and 5 frees for. Also kicked 2 goals.
- Sky did well in their first game in the midfield this season with 22 disposals, 4 tackles and 3 marks
- miggs Brick Loosener beez NSWCROW and Dory_77 all kicked a goal to keep the scoreboard ticking over
- ossie_21 played well in their first game on half-back-flank with 13 disposals and 8 marks
- After not leaving the bench last week, NSWCROW got into the ruck and got 6 hitouts (team high) along with 13 disposals and 3 tackles
That win confirms us for finals this season. Great job team. We have the bye this week so we will be watching the Roys, Royals and Bombers games very closely to see if they manage to win. Our percentage is so high that I don't think we can get pushed out of first place this week.

It's never fun sitting on the sidelines
Well we didn't have a game in round 11 as we were forced to take a bye. Good thing is that we relaxed and enjoyed the week on top of the ladder as all the teams below us fought each other.
We didn't get any stats last week, but we did gain significant confidence in our premiership chances after many teams failed to win to keep pressure on the top 4 spots. We are now competing with Roys and Bombers for top of the ladder, with all 3 of us pretty sure of finishing inside the top 4 at seasons end.
We remain on top of the ladder and now are 99.9% confirmed to play in a qualifying final (we would need to lose by 60+ points in both of our last 2 games to miss out on top 4). We need at least one more win to finish top 2, so let's keep winning.

We fell off the top of the ladder
It wasn't a great week for us. Coming off the bye and having to face the Royals in what was possibly the most awkward silence match thread I've ever encountered. It seemed like the bye affected us more than I thought as we started the game without our usual spring in our step.
We gave up 11 goals and 8 behinds in just the first half as the Royals walked all over us. The game would've been over if they kicked straight, but luckily we did kick with accuracy to stay in the game as we got 9 goals and 2 behinds. We managed to catch up in the 3rd quarter a little bit, but it wasn't enough. Royals booted 5 goals to our 3 in the final quarter to run away winning by 27 points.
Our accuracy was there, kicking 16 goals and only 5 behinds, but Royals had control of the game with 19 goals and a massive 14 behinds. Good thing they didn't kick straight because it could've been so much worse. We no longer have 1st place on the ladder, but we still remain entrenched inside the top 4.
