Missing a colon gets you a suspension but falsely accusing someone of being an alt of a permabanned player is fair game.
It's a funny judicial system

Our early years were full of failure, the song was not sung for so long that unfortunately the original song was lost to the ages .
Now we win (excluding finals) we don't want to jinx it, so we stick to our self depreciation style and focus on individual accolades

To be fair it's a lot of you bestowing individual accolades on you. Mostly deservedly so I might add

Barrybran has won every thing
beez and StFly have medals named after them
We had 4 in the top 20 of the Beez and 3 All SFA selections last year.
Individually we do great. Collectively, work to be done.
We beat the straight sets curse last year only to blow a 5 goal lead in half a quarter in the prelim.
I can see us butchering a GF in the new year

    Round One vs Ophidian Old Boys at Spotswood.

    A trip away to start the season to face an opponent is never an easy task, particularly when that opponent has some beef with some in the team. However our team of plasticine mucked in like troopers and came away with the four points.

    It was a worrying first quarter however a late goal shortly before the siren to CatToTheFuture calmed the nerves leading to a tight arm wrestle for the remainder of the match. In wet conditions, the margin rarely hit double figures from there on and despite going into three quarter time in deficit, it really felt like anybody's match. What came next though, was a fabulous quarter of team footy where we kicked the final five goals of the match to win by a game-high 18 points.

    The sim was unkind to BlueE only giving them 19% game time with all other players getting 54% plus. On the stats front, a very even spread of contributors with my stats enhanced by a couple of junk time goals. Shoutout to Aucklander who had a very impressive debut.

    Round Two vs Dragons FFC at the House of Gumby.

    Qootballing perfection!! Returning home this week to play the Dragons, our team of Gumbies put in one of the most pure qooty performances you will see. We won all four quarters and were in front for an astonishing 99:33 of the 100 minutes.

    A long-range Brick Loosener goal just two seconds into the match showed just what we were about. Brick also scored our second goal of the match which returned us to the lead a lead which we never came close to giving up. No matter what the Dragons threw at us, we mached and exceeded. They kick three in a row, we match with four etc etc. Another great all round performance leaving our coach the option of fiddling with the team and experimenting with plans b, c and d.

    On the stats front, where to start!?!
    • The sim shared the gametime a bit more this week with NSWCROW spending the least time on ground with 44% game time with all other players getting 61% plus.
    • Dory_77 played the full forward role to perfection with 5.3 ably supported by crumber rye who kicked four of their own in a breakout performance.
    • Supercheapgiants was prolific off half back.
    • bone2468 was BRILLIANT at full back.
    • Barrybran activated beast mode with 40 possessions and a goal. Hopefully you are just replicating Dane Swan on the field and are not going to tweet about "male tampons".
    • What's more, GWS Goose did not receive a free kick. A rare occurrence!
