I'm feeling in my waters that this pick up of Gumby, reminds me of the Elvis pick up.

Elvis was struggling to get on the ground at the Hawks, due to back / hammy issues. Gumby seems to have had similar issues, but now appears to be over it.

Good pick up Gumby, re-united with the Peel Pest ............... Balla.

speculative?

I guess... maybe you could have got a gun at 55...

Anyway, good get for you guys in my opinion. Very sad for Essendon supporters but you can't wish him anything other than the best. I hope he wins a flag with you guys. There, I said it.

Good luck Gumby, I'll never forget that goal you kicked at the gabba

Freo got Michael Walters for pick 53 in the 2008 draft... Anything is possible

Don't be surprised if Kepler is played down back going forward. That's where the bombers were trying to groom him to take over from Fletcher, both have similar frames - Gangly. Gives us another option in the backline depth other than Silvagni.

Kep played as a tall midfielder/winger at West Perth. Outside, running, enjoying his footy, kicking wafl arse (see 2003 premiership). Let Kep be Kep.

Gumby is a forward. Gumby be forward.

Happy to have him. Big question for me is, does this see the end of Keplar "the accidental hero" Bradley. Wonder if there's room for them both on our list. I wouldn't be surprised to see him delisted, as unsentimental as it'd seem.
Difficult to see where he fits now. Addition of Gumby and another preseason for Hannath , Taberner and Zarke. Got a feeling that Clarke is about ripe to take it up to a new level next year.

Sylvia at 27 and Gumbleton at 25 are both at good ages to be coming in and instantly adding
to the strength of the squad

Glad we got the man we wanted at the price we wanted.

Going to be an interesting 2014 with this new look forward line. Some potentially high scoring power up forward now.

I see it something like this:

Mayne Pavlich Sylvia/Fyfe

Ballaz Gumby Walters

Not sure where to put DeBoer though.

People talking about gumbys potential injuries next year are forgetting that Freo did a thorough medical on him. They would not have gone so hard at him they didn't think his body would hold up.

Great line up and DeBoer rotating off the bench.

Has FFC considered Gumbleton's "ASADA risk profile" before drafting him?

The question must be asked.

The AFL has let EFC off with a very light slap on the rist, but my understanding was that the sports doping authoritY has reserved its right to issue infraction notices direct to EFC players.

Surely any club signing an EFC player would need to do some DD on this point.

Could these risk factors explain EFC's capitulation at the trade table?

We are basically banking on a massive miscarriage of justice so we can put him on the park.
