Yeah, this has nothing to do with population, immigration, the lack of an alternative, criminal on criminal crime, or teen suicide.
Same as phones and murders or phones and drug deals or other criminal acts but phones are used by everyone for everyday uses as are cars. Guns are specific machines designed to kill.Murders involving cars triple every decade.(ban them!)

Anti-gun logic:
'Nobody needs a gun for self defence!!! You've got the police to protect you.... w-with their guns.'
In what part of Australia do you need a gun for self defence?
Anti-gun logic:

In what part of Australia do criminals not have guns?
In what part of Australia are criminals murdering random people on the street with guns?
Criminals have guns.
But they rarely murder randoms.
That's okay then.
And you owning a gun affects underworld crime?
No, I haven't.Well you haven't made any suggestion that more people having guns would address either of those points.
We also have half the number of homicides total and a half/a third the number of gun homicides. So your anecdotes don't bear out the facts.
Notice how America is the only one brought up as an example.
Despite having 320 million people, and having diversities in society that our country may never comprehend, let alone endure.
What about Switzerland? How come no one ever says Switzerland? Or Finland?
Because it doesn't pander to the scare mentality - the same mentality everyone's brainwashed by despite contradictions on the news.
Are you one of dem libertarians?
Libertarians always come across like stroppy teenagers screaming "You can't tell me what to do".There's a few of them around in Australia thesedays, its a bit worrying. People who are generally smarter than the average joe, but not academically educated or particularly brilliant. That's my summation of them at least.
Also they usually aren't married and feel like as single blokes they should be paying less tax as they don't use the vast majority of services. I can kind of see where they're coming from in that respect. But libertarianism has no history or roots in Australia for good reason, we actually began as a libertarian paradise (i.e. slavery, serving our euro masters, jailed for going home early from work etc) and the reason our unions are some of the strongest in the world is a direct response to 'libertarian' thinking.
To summarise: they're pretty smart (albeit selfish) guys with no sense of history

stralia conflicts me. On one hand, right-wing loony. On the other, Bobby Hill avatar. Surely this would be more appropriate...
