No, he is a big loss.

Not all players have the full flourish of skills that a Burgoyne has, and if they did then you couldn't afford them in your salary cap.

I don't understand how you can offer Josh Gibson a contract, those finish to the season showed just how badly washed up he is and then you delist a bloke that can be an important part of the puzzle going forward for the next five seasons.

He will definitely get picked up, but if Gibson or Duryea were in a similar position of having been delisted it would be doubtful any club would touch them.

Because his kicks are 90% rainmakers.

No he isnt.

Hasnt improved significantly in his time at box hill and that is exposure over a long time now. Forget his speed his problem is his ball handling - not clean and makes basic errors that players of his experience shouldnt make - plus not a reliable decision maker either. Doesnt win the ball regularly enough too.

He really was a project player and the project wasnt a success. I have watched a heap of him at vfl level. He isnt really a footballer.

Why the hate for Doc? Two time premiership player, 25 years of age and 86 games in. Comparative to Litherlands 15 games in 7 years. Doc may of had a down year according to some, but he will be close to a 200 game player at HFC. He isn't a star, but his tough overhead a reliable kick and a good one-on-one defender. I had hoped this season he would become more of a rebounding threat, but it seems the coaching group prefer he primarily focuses on locking down an opponent. He is entering his prime and your suggestion no other club would look at him is pretty flawed.

As for Litherland, I mentioned earlier in the week he would suit a Dogs, GWS or Saints style of play. That ballistic, kamikaze run off half-back. It's more about meters gained and winning the 50/50 ball as opposed to possession. I thought if we were looking down that path perhaps he may have stayed. However, it seems pretty clear Burton, Howe and Heatherly are well ahed of Gus in the plans. And Gus just can't play any other position as he has very little football nous.
