Even Greene was said to be wanting to go to Vic, before signing a 6 year deal of course.

Given he’s already signed a contract extension through to 2021, I’d probably say yep, a bit early.

You got to wait at least another 6 weeks or so before you’ll get any traction for that one.

Fully expect Cogs and Kelly to stay and become justifiably well paid players in the process.

GWS look to have evened out the balance of top end talent with the rest of the comp following last years trade period.
Still have weapons with those 2, plus Greene, Cameron, Hopper, Taranto, etc.

In a similar bucket to the Dons list.
Solid back line, good midfield, enough weapons up forward.
Reliant on an old ruck and some kids coming through.

Shame you lost Lobb. He'd have been ideal as the #1 ruck.

The clue with Lobb is his statement. "I want to go back to WA at some point, whether it's this year or next". We preferred a trade and actually did a good one. We apparently tried to get Zac Clarke. Dawson will be fine against the less mobile rucks. Against someone like Grundy we may put Mummy or Dawson against him at the taps and use Tomlinson around the ground. Not ideal but an option.

The spotlights on Matt Flynn this year as a ruck/forward. He's looked good in the NEAFL, but had some horror moments in JLT1. Whether that's just nerves because he knows his time is now after 3 years developing I'm not sure.

de Boer was - has been signing 1 year deals once a year since he got here. This is just this year’s.
