thank you for sharing ... imo they will not get any better until they learn to play as a well oiled machine and strange as it may sound they look top heavy ... like an NBA Allstar game they are full of champions who almost get in each others way. They will score heavily against a team who lets them.

for Cameron it is like trying to coach Victoria or South Australia, too many options.

I don't think GWS will peak until they have more work horses and less superstars.

Hawthorn got better post buddy and Adelaide got better post Danger.
Or their current group just comes to the realisation that they'll miss a flag chance unless they lift their work rate.

GWS are equal faves with Adelaide for next years flag currently but quite possibly Lance Franklin screwed both Sydney and the Giants out of premierships.

Had he gone to GWS the forward line would have Patton, Cameron, Franklin, Lobb, Greene. A line up not dissimilar to Walker, Jenkins, Lynch, Betts.

And nobody is stopping a forward line with Cameron and Franklin in it too often.

Geez you'd hope that isn't true. They do play a fair bit like a club without a soul sometimes, when they can't get their game going they just don't seem to care or put in effort.
I think the opposite. They have a tendency to panic. Last 10 minutes of the 3rd quarter they made some shockers which took Richmond from handy lead to winning lead.

Patton is a shocker at defense, hardly tries. He should model his defensive workrate on buddy.

GWS did have a bad run with injuries this year, but people forget that they had a charmed run in 2016, with amazing continuity in their best 22 line-up and really - of their better players - only Devon Smith missing a substantial number of games. They couldn't get the job done under those circumstances either.
They probably were the best team in 2016 but fluffed it against the dogs due to finals inexperience.

They are slowly coming back to the pack. I don't reckon they will have that dynasty everyone is suggesting, they may pinch a flag, but nothing like the 5 years of dominance people were suggesting.

Like I said in the preview thread, had a mate sitting behind them in a cafe this week, while they slagged off their fans who rock up to open training sessions as jobless deadshits, and Hopper talked loudly about how he wanted out to Geelong. Don't reckon their hearts are in it at this point. Culture/leadership needs a rat up it.
Then why did he sign a new contract?

Brisbane lost two consecutive finals series (prelim and semi) prior to the three-peat

GWS are only going to get stronger.
If they avoid the injury curse next year, they will be up there

The drafts they got their picks from were pretty weak. Media got distracted because of the number, and the average footy fan doesn’t have the IQ to grasp the concept of quantity not equaling quality. In fairness though, as long as the league is weak, they’ll have a shot

and maybe even a third straight IF they can keep a healthy list. They effectively had Shiel, Cameron, who's one of the best forwards in the game and Mumford out. They took it to the much fancied Tige's on their home floor for two and a half quarters. Now with two prelim finals under their belt, they have that big game experience. that is needed for future battles.

Next season they'll be cherry ripe. They'll be more mature, more battle hardened.

There's no stopping them now. The juggernaut will be unleashed in 2018 and in all likelihood they'll 3peat.
Come on mate you misspelled Hawthorn.

They were totally heartless in the second half when the game was in the balance.
Don't know what they can do to get some mongrel in them. Maybe losing two prelims will do it, but I dunno, losing one certainly didn't help them yesterday.
Lot of golden boys there who have been told how good they're gonna be since they're 14 so have no idea what to do when the chips are down.
I'm pissed off with them for the talent they are wasting over there.

Their strategy is to cycle the players they have out and keep the early pics coming, thus ruining careers. Clubs should boycott dealing with them

GWS will improve further as their list profile improves.

The problem might be how much. In the game versus the Tigers they were already older, bigger, and more experienced.
They had the three oldest players on the ground and only two of the six youngest. But their core is still quite young, so I agree with Cameron’s comments after the game.

Well third time's a charm I guess. Gotta get used to playing at the G though or there's no chance of getting through to the GF, let alone winning the flag.
