Turns out he mustve done something while he was on the field

I have no idea where they got those stats from. The top 5 in the AFL in 2007 were Brett Kirk, Joel Corey, James McDonald, Andrew Swallow & Matt Priddis. Adam Bentick was 3rd prior to the finals, but overtaken by Corey, Swallow & Priddis due to their participation in the finals.

Ackland nowhere to be seen. I don't know where they got those numbers for either, Cain Ackland has a career total of 54 tackles.

The recruitment of players like McKernan, Lindsay Smith, Laurie Angwin, Daniel Batson (rookie) meant that when Barnaby French retired we had a major dearth of mature bodied ruckman. Hence the recruitment of Ackland & Cloke to carry the rucks until Aisake & Hampson get up to speed.

By the end of 2008, Ackland will most likely be surplus to our requirements & will not see out the 3rd year of his contract, but hopefully he will absorb some of the heat in the ruck, allowing Aisake, Hampson & now Kruezer to develop without being thrown to the wolves.

It was a good comment about hackland btw and I agree completely that that was the purpose that he was brought into the club.
