The only trouble is they might get agood batting pitch next test and he will make a score so they will give him more time:thumbsd:

Which is likely and this can be put away like it never happened. We've had some all time low scores in the past year yet Clarke is still talking about how talented our batting line-up is. A lineup that scores less than 300 in an innings regularly unless the wicket is a complete road.

I wouldn't expect Clarke to come out and say they whole batting line up is shit would you?? He has to be positive they are on tour.

Of course not, but why be so over the top with the praise all the time? Did you hear the way he talked about them in Sri Lanka? He said that 'Khawaja has played like a genius' at one point. WTF is that about?

I'd expect a massive spray.

That was unacceptable; these are professional sportsmen, not eight year olds - they need to be held to account.

I'd expect he got a spray behind Closed doors. Not going to do it through the media.

HUGHES GTFO NOW !!! You are worse than the "batting coach" technique wise.

Haddin when Paine is fit GTFO

Hussey keep

FFS get some backbone and smarts...

When does the footy start again:confused:

Most frustrating thing with them carrying haddin is that even at his best he's not a great player.

Solid bat at his best but still a very ordinary keeper, makes no sense to carry an out of from 34 year old when the pay off when they get back into form isn't even worth it.

he's not even a good batsman. undiciplined. throws his wicket away. always goes hunting two 4s, gets excited and tries the same shot again and skies one to mid off. shithouse international cricketer.

Haddin is done. I'm thinking his next test will be his last. His batting this test, and of late really, has been just terrible.

I'm trying to be as optimistic and positive as possible, but Haddin is done and has to go at the conclusion of this series. Can Wade actually bat properly though - none of this crash and bash crap that has put us in this position. His technique is a bit wishy washy from what I've seen..

Apparently they won't drop Haddin until Paine is fit. Apparently playing Wade would be undermining the position of the 'future of Australian cricket'. Crock of bs I reckon, Wade's doing more than enough to take Haddin's spot.

I don't think it's a bad decision if Paine was that much better, but I don't really think he is, unfortunately. He's got a better technique, and seems to have ticker though.

Trouble is, as we've seen, that scoring runs in Shield means less than nothing once a player is in the test squad. Hughes record is second to none and he looks like a walking wicket as soon as the ball does anything at all at international level.

Haddin is probably lucky that this is an away series and not a home series. If he tons up in the next encounter you never know what might keep in this team.

Yet, that shot was ridiculous really.

I'd have him keep next Test; 100% serious - Hughes that is.

Shift him down the order to take some pressure off.

Marsh/Watson open(fitness allowing), Khawaja at 3.

I'd open with Khawaja over Marsh, but otherwise I agree. There were some highlights of the u19 world cup on YouTube a while ago that I can't find, but you get to see Steve Smith bowling with Phil Hughes keeping.
