I'm sure it's never happened (and likely never will), but it IS possible to win a match without taking a wicket if the other team were to declare twice at 0 for (a couple of sporting declarations). Winning a test match without scoring a run is literally impossible unless through some outside interference like the other team forfeiting or being disqualified. I'm arguing semantics here but still.

Yeah, I thought you'd say that, but it's my belief that wickets win Tests. You can win a Test with bugger all runs, but it's nigh impossible to win a Test with bugger all wickets.

Bowlers win matches - particularly longer form games - to win outright you must take twenty wickets - not many - in fact no great cricket side at any level doesn't have at lest 2-3 good bowlers.
