Hahaha id like to thank everyone who has posted in the past and who posted in my thread of "FAST AND FAMOUS= ABSOLOUTE MORAL". When any one of you blokes get a clue about racing then you can say what you think and i will listen. People were saying i hope you lose, im backing sam sung a song and that im gonna lose all my money backing 2's on pops can all look at the past results and my past threads and feel embarrassed for themsleves. I backed Bel Danoro at $3.4 so i dont think thats a 2's on pop and i backed zipping at $3 and the moral FAST AND FAMOUS at $1.8 but that was absoloutley ripper odds as the bookies were just giving me money really. If people actually thought that it was going to lose knows not 1 thing about racing. IT WAS A DEAD SET MORAL. I also say to those people that were saying i hope and will lose all my money backing 2's on pops i say to you. $3.4 Bel Danoro and $4,750 on Fast and famous im still trying to count all my winnings not to add my $1,500 on zipping. I dont bet $2 and $5 and get nervous before a race like u blokes, because you cant win money that way and theres no point betting. I back horses that i think are going to bolt in and in the past 3 cases they have all started favourite (unfortunatley) but me and alot of other people out there back them and bookies have them as favourites because they deserve to be. So if i see a $20 shot that i think is a moral i will back it accordingly. Its not my fault whenever i come on big footy and say my piece the odds cramp in a treat, bel danoro was $3.4 before i came on then once i got off it went into $2.40. Cant wait for Theseo and Racing to Win this week. Seeya later and i hope ure $5 bets win this weekend.

I daresay it wasn't your tip, rather your attitude that put people offside...and the above post doesn't do anything to help your cause. Well done on the win though. No gripes there.

Maybe if you come on here and tip some $20 shots people will take you a bit more seriously instead of bignoteing favourites.

Hey dj
i think you should have a look at the thread i started called underwood stakes day, where i put on a qauddie that only cost me $80 and i got a collect back of $1745. why im telling you this is because my bet was a smart decision whereas you have taken the weak option by loading up on a horse at 2-1!!!
my bet took ability to analyse the race, whereas you have just jumped on the band wagon and loaded up on some up and comer. remember in life "there is no such meaning of a good thing" or absolute moral as u like to call these bets. you wont have a dollar to your name if you continue to bet this way...im sure of it!!

UM im not agreeing with dj but i do agree that having a bet and getting your money back plus a little bit (or alot depending on how you bet) is better than losing your money. The way i see it is if you only get $1.50 for a win for a horse and you put $1000 and it wins so you make $500 it is better than putting it in the bank, surely that is the reason we are all punting for to make $$$$$ not give it away.

My opinion only rather get some back than nothng at all.

Over my poor uni years I have learn't a few things about betting with money you dont have.......;)

I would class myself as a better than average punter, there arent too many days were I dont end up atleast back even, when I have descent rip on the punt. When I seem to get in the most trouble is when I load up on dead set morals who decide they are going to have an off day.

I think this is generally the case with any punter, no matter how much they can afford. Anyone can put heaps of money on a favourite, but i know out of my mates the most successful punters are the ones who back things each way at descent odds and those who can pick quaddies and multiples because of their knowledge.

By tipping favourites all the time it doesn't say much about your punting ability to find that winner that no one else can, and I dunno about you guys but that is what punting is all about for me. Its not always how much you win, sure i'll back a favourite from time to time, but if you only back favourites it takes the fun out of having a punt because your losses are going to be so significant.

Anyway just my thoughts........................

Pffffft, DJ you would never have backed a $50 winner in your life.

Every tip you provide is a favourite, & the huge majority are well into the red.
Good luck to you if they continue to win, but don't pretend you back double figure winners, Champ. :)

Horses for courses... I'm not a regular but a lot of people here probably dont like or cant bet big... Others may only be in it for a little bit of entertainment (even if it comes at a small loss)... If you want to take it so seriously as if its your career go for it but when your favourites come crashing down we look forward to you join us for our $2 and $5 bets, haha.

I know one thing - you cant beat the bookies... you may be ahead now, you may be way ahead but it wont stay that way. There is no such thing as a certainty and at the end of the day thats why they run the races and thats why the $50 horse has as much chance beating the 2/1 horse any given day. It still comes down to chance whichever way you look at it. Maybe more sometimes than others, but it always exists!

Anyway dont be so narrow minded - get out of your little box and realise that not everyone has the same motives as you!
