I think every NBL team is made up of 50% of American imports, the wildcats are no different to any others.

We have an Australian born coach (Unlike Victorian Titans) and an Australian born Captain and both owners are WA born.

Now days basketball team have to be half American to be allowed to play. A team from Albany, who have been in the league they play in before, Wanted to enter the league again but were refused because they didn't want to play any Americans, or imports from anywhere. They wanted All Australians but weren't allowed. Now that sucks.

JubJub - the Wildcats only have three Americans on the team. Grace Fisher and Timmons, of them three Grace and Fisher are both Australian Citizens. So no were not made up of all americans.

Carb70 - never said i didnt respect the 36ers, i know they will be our biggest threat to the crown this year. Im just happy as larry that we beat them at the powerhouse. Not easy beating Adelaide in Adelaide so it will be a mental boost for the team knowing we can do it heading into the playoffs. And i didnt become a basketball fan cos my footy team isnt doing well. Im a bball fan first and foremost, footy comes a distant second so why dont you just shut the %^#$ up...please.

GoEagles, Adelaide is the damm best basketball city in this country (mens & women)just look at the centres we have produced playing for other teams Bradtke,Wheeler and the Wildcats very own Paul Rogers just image if we had one of those guys, we wouldn't lose a game. Just because the Wildcats beat us during the season it doesn't mean we will not end top, haven't we got the same amount of losses at this stage of the season?.Finally what happens during the season doesn't count for a thing in the playoffs, Its all a whole new ball game.

Nick why don't you Hawthorn supporters leave me alone (only joking) my sister is a mad hawthorn supporter and she would kill me if she found out I was ever saying anything bad about them, but as far as Rehn goes he's a class player if only his knee's hold up, If he didn't get all those knee injuries he might of been the greatest ruckman of all time, in his last 2 full injury free seasons he played the Crows were premiers. His strenght is his marking ablity and his ablity to play a kick behind the play, so he will probably play the same role as Salmon did.

As far as him leaving the Crows the stories I have heard is he didn't get on with Ayers, he wanted to play in the ruck but Ayers was more interested in using him as a foward and the other story is Rehn was late for training one day, only by a couple of minutes, Ayers wouldn't let Rehn train with the rest of the squad, instead Ayers made Rehn go and wash his (Ayers) car, which he wasn't too happy about.

GoEagles, the post at the start of the year I think was in reply to Vlahov and Fisher's comments before the first game, where they called Brooks a Yank or something. To then beat them on their home court after what they said was very satisfying. At the moment I'm a shattered man, I can't believe the Sixers played so badly. Well done to the Wildcats though...

Carb70 - I aint ganging up on you. I like you Adelaide folk, we both enjoy shoving it up the Vics heh. But when it comes to Bball you are our biggest threat so im sorry but te 36ers suck and they wont beat Wildcats. Oh and it will be very important to see who finishes on top of the ladder, although both the 36ers and the Wildcats have lost home games this year they are renouned as very hard to beat at home. So whoever has home court advantage come playoff time will have a big edge.

Brian Goorjian is the greatest most successful coach the league has ever seen, look at the local players he has developed not just at the Titans, guys like Sam MCkinnon and Frank Drimic. The Titans are propping up the league developing local talent, Ronaldson,Anstey, Smith the list goes on and on and on .......
Adelaide and Phil Smythe come a close second

I dont really follow nbl so much but I just laugh at what the basketball guy writes in the paper over here about brian "thang"goorjian ! and the taunting of vic titans is hilarious, he has called them the tic tacs, and one day he had a list of about 50 hilarious names for them, i hate the titans, I like the tigers more than the tic tacs !
