re receeding

Ive always said that when (in my family it's when, not if) I start receeding noticably, I will simply shave it off.

Has to look better at #1 or #0 than receeding doesnt it?

However, Im really getting sick of hair, and while I have shaved it at #1 in the past, Im seriously thinking of just doing it now and keeping it.

Its short at the moment, but long enough that i have to do something with it.

Must say shaved is the best feeling.

Amen to that :p

Guys should never have anything "done" to their hair. They get it cut (not styled) by a barber - not a stylist.

My barber keeled over dead right in his shop about five years ago. I've been going to different places, but no one can do it as well as old Pete the Barber.

Pete was a drunk. If you caught him before lunch, he had DT's and his hands shook. He drank his lunch. After lunch you took your chances, but at least his hands were steady.

I don't really care that no one can cut like Pete. Personally, I'm in a holding pattern awaiting the return of the mighty mullet look. ;)

I'm actually going into major hair surgery on saturday. I thought I would make sure I was the centre of attention at my 21st party, so I'm going the Blonde highlights and the vertical spikes.

Mark McVeigh here we come!

Agree with mooster completely.

When I get my hair cut I get it shaved around the back and sides and have the top cut pretty short, then I let it go for 4-5 months.

Didn't time it well this year last had it cut about Christmas and so it going to be short for winter again :(

I have my hair short and spikey. My hair is naturally black I get the blond foils and then have a red (red back spider red) rinse run through it. It looks cool especially under the neon lights at the clubs and yes I know I'm a pretty boy so don't start I've heard it all before.

About 5 years ago, after a few too many drinks at a party, a couple of mates and me, for a laugh, shaved our heads. I liked the look and haven't grown my hair since. Bald is beautiful.

where's wally?

Did that on Schoolies for Year 12. We looked like a scene from Romper Stomper.

But remember when you go to the beach to put sun screan on you're head, nothing worse than getting sunburnt on top.

Thats half the reason why my half me hair is gone. Big Day Out 01...43 degrees in Adelaide and good ol me forgot to bring a hat. To make it worse i had dark blue hair which attracted the sun. Ended up my head got very very badly burnt and some of me hair fell out and hasnt grown back yet which has given the impression of a receeding hairline :(

Make that a lesson to you all!

So am I! That's why it's in the ponytailed style it is now, with no danger of a receding hairline. ;)

And blonde it is, too.

Cheers,
William

my hair is kinda medium length and growing... so at the moment i'd jsut get a trim, maybe a bit of layers down the bottom, and a blow wave :p
i've never had it PROFFESSIONALY died... but have always wanted to go red... although it wouldn't suit the tan  anything but blonde thanks!

Although the sunburn would have done something it is good for you're hair health and scalp to shave it to number 1. My hairdresser said it prolongs you're ability to grow hair.

There are drugs you can take to help with your hair. Surely you wouldn't object to this Macca?

I was looking into it, spoke to my chemist about it and he said that most of them on the market at the moment make you impotent and/or sterile. Personally id rather get a boner than have lots of hair and its not that much of a problem at the moment to worry about it enough anyway

A cuz of mine uses and swears by this stuff called Regain. I must say, I can notice a significant increase in the thickness of his hair.

I will call him and ask him if he can get it up! :p

actor matthew mcConaughey swore by that stuff too... he was on letterman talking about it... he was noticably thinning on top (edtv, wedding planner)... but now is back to a full thick mop !

I've got clippers and style ;) my own hair, haven't paid for a haircut in over 5 years. Like some of the guys have mentioned, I usually shave it down low 4 on top, 1 or 2 on the sides and then let grow several months until it needs it again. Sometimes I try to style a short, back and sides but it usually ends in disaster, and I have to shave it!

At the moment, I've been letting the back and front grow and trimming the sides in preparation for the mighty mullet!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the mullet is on its way back, embrace the mullet! :D
